About Me

Technological evolution is the extension of human evolution. thinkersbebo.com is product of this mindset. We post articles/blogs and videos that are related to the latest technology and scientific thinking.Click this Pic Think of technology as just the next step of our (human) evolution. When a species evolved to create tools (humans) it was what we call a paradigm shift in evolution. This shift allowed life to adapt and evolve at a speed that was impossible before, when DNA information changes were the only way to evolve and adapt to new scenarios. Think about it, when we are faced with a challenge we overcome it with inventions. For example at one time we needed a way to communicate over long distances faster, so we invented phones. We needed a way to travel from one place to another faster, so we invented cars and then planes. We needed a way to record information so we invented written langue and then paper, pencils, and then pens. With-out our ability to create tools it would take millions of years to evolve to overcome challenges. Where as now we can overcome them much, much more quickly and increasingly quicker.

Technological progress is not linear. People think it is, and therefor think of the future (next two-twenty years) as being much like it is today. In the next twenty years there is going to be a HUGE pyridine shift, the world you know today is going to greatly altered. It is impossible for technology to continue it's progression at it's current rate. With each the creation of each new technology the ability to make the next gets increased and therefor the next technology comes much faster. Take a number, like 2, and double it. you have 4, then double that. 8 then double that. 16. That is an example of what I am talking about, the numbers represent the increase in technology. Each time the number is doubled it allow the next number to be much bigger. Only with technology, each time it doubles the time it took to double is reduced. So you can see that once you reach a certain point, things really start to change. (example: if you have 600 of something, it is way different then having 1200 of that same thing.) You can also see that it doesn't take very long until you have an astronomical number with this sort of exponential growth. Do you see? This is whats happening with our technological progress today! Think about it, in five years we are not going to have five years of progress at today's rate. No, that would be linear. Think about it like this: "In the next one hundred years we are going to have one thousand years of progress, if you measure it at today's rate." (-Kurzwiel) This is a big deal, and that is what my website is all about. to talk about what is going on with this growth, whats coming next. Are we going to be prepared for whats coming? thinkersbebo.com talks about all of this. We post articles about some of the newest theories and technologies. We host forums for people to discuss this sort of thing. We also show videos explaining this sort of stuff. So please come check it out. thinkersbebo.com
