Who is Tha Govna? I'd say he's everything, and nothing. Both are correct, and yet both are also wrong. He is a beautifully complex character, lovely in his simplicity. He's a villain. He's a hero. He is every emotion, quirk, and fluke on our planet, averaged out and presented in a convenient-little-human-husk. He is you. Though, we still haven't figured the bit about that British accent popping up here and there though.
Musically, Tha Govna is... Well, I'm not really sure how to identify him musically. Though there is a distinct sound to what he does, more often than not you'll find him delving into, attempting, and sometimes flat out making a mockery of a multitude of genres. At first I thought of it as a gimmick of some sort, but as time went on I came to realize this approach was simply a reflection of who he is: An ever updated collection of ideas and views...
His current location is thought to be somewhere in the states, specifically northern Florida. He's had stays in various locales throughout the world, the Netherlands, U.K., Belgium to name a few, but it seems as if this is and always will be where he calls home. The last I spoke with the ol' boy he was thinking of relocating to New Amsterdam for a bit. Can't image why though. I'd take being able to go to the beach on Christmas over a nor'easter any day!
I'd like to pass on many thanks from Tha Govna to everyone who has reacted positively to his music. The kind words are much appreciated. I'm privy to all things Govna and I must say: If you like what you've heard and seen so far you should definitely keep an eye on this one. His upcoming album, "Made In China," is developing quite nicely and should be a brilliant work of art when completed. We are both hoping to have a Q and A piece up in the near future that'll hopefully give more insight into the blokes behind the music. So don't worry if this bit left you a little confused.
