Six young professional jazz musicians. Six gifted minds that grew up in the era of Reganomics, Pac-Man, VHS, Crack-Cocaine and MTV. The time has come for them to reach back into the culture that raised them, to draw inspiration from the society from which they blossomed. "Fuck it, lets play video game tunes."
FOXHOUND was born.
FOXHOUND plays original music, as well as themes from games, TV shows and basically whatever we want. And we do it with a gang of chops.
What people say about us-
Hipster, Please :
"If you ... would like to jam to something a little further away from the nerdy rap game but still imminently geek-friendly, I'd humbly suggest a new NYC-based collective calling itself FOXHOUND. They skillfully incorporate jazzy brass and bright rock sounds to create a flavor of game rock heretofore uncharted. Give the self professed “MOST. BAND. EVER†a listen..."
"In their own words, “FOXHOUND plays the music of the 8-bit/16-bit golden age of video-gaming with an earnestness and gravity that is completely ridiculous.†God, I love this band!"

Nerdaplooza Top 100 Nerd Music Bands of 2007:
"Sporting only two songs on their Myspace and no other leads on where to find more of their music, FOXHOUND has already wowed the nerd music community with a Metroid-inspired song and an interpretive song inspired by the DC Comics villain, Two-Face. With rave reviews from Hipster, Please and Game Music 4 All, these guys are an amazing contribution to the nerd music world. I can't wait to hear more from them."
