About Me

I created my profile with Myspace Layouts+"

According to a Babalow in Cuba who gave a message to my friend, Roberto, to pass on to me, I am a natural son of Elegguá, the Trickster

23

For more on the ORIGINAL & FIRST movie titled “23” click the image above!! I'm somewhat biased when it comes to this film as I'm in it - aside from that (or in spite of-LOL!) it's an excellent Canadian short film!
"23" is currently available to rent from HAPPY BATS CINEMA
in Vancouver, BC, and can be found under their “Canadian Shorts” section. They are located at 198 E. 15th Ave. (just off Main St. on 15th), so check it out when ya get the chance. HAPPY BATS CINEMA is also, in my opinion, the finest movie rental shop in the entire city with selections of hard to find material, a staff that is both incredibly knowledgeable & kind, plus Corey & Erica the owners participate in most of the film-related events going on in Vanocuver!
FOR A SAMPLE OF SOME OF THE WORK I'VE DONE IN B.C. HIGHSCHOOLS WORKING WITH STUDENTS TO COMBINE POETRY, ART, & PHOTOGRAPHY THAT BEST REPRESENT WHAT THEIR CITY NEANS TO THEM, VISIT CATALYST FOR CHANGE - ARTSTARTS IN SCHOOLS
Here are 3 of my fave people in the entire world plus one of the most beaautiful families ever - Mamma Ru, lil' Isak, & Daddy Markus! They be my family away from family - love ya, folks!
So, one thing I never mentioned on my profile until recently is that I'm an adopted fella who is fortunate enough to've found & become friends with my birth mother, Ruth Janes who is also an incredibly talented artist. I come by it honestly - that combination of nature & nurture I supose, as my parents (adoptive) always support me in all of my artistic endeavors, and the talent itself is in my blood!! For my bio-mom's art, click here .
Both my sis & I are adopted from different families, and we both have met our birth folks (me, just my mon - her, both mom & dad) and my story turned out for the better. THese things don't always play out as well as one would wish! Ruth (my bio mom) and I, from our first phone conversation years ago which must've lasted for 6 hours or so, became immediat friends, and we still talk almost every day! Granted, our subject matters differ greatly art-wise, but she sure can weild a brush & pen, as can her sonny boy!

Well I know karate, Voodoo too
I'm gonna make myself available to you
I don't need no make up
I got real scars
I got hair on my chest
I look good without a shirt
Well I don't lose my composure
In a high speed chase
Well my friends think I'm ugly
I got a masculine face
I got some dragstrip courage
I can really drive a bed
I'm gonna change my name
To Hannibal or maybe
Just Rex
Change my name to Hannibal
Or maybe just Rex
I'm gonna drive all night
Take some speed
I'm gonna wait for the sun
To shine down on me
I cut a hole in my roof
In the shape of a heart

Vintage-style
"Wild One" type
gas attendant caps available!
For all of the rockabilly & greaser Kats n Kittens out there...

For those whove looked but never found em Good news! - I make those fantastic (and next to impossible to find!) vintage-style gas attendant caps that were popularized in films like "THE WILD ONE".
What better way to accessorize that wardrobe consisting of bucket cuff dungarees, plain white rolled sleeved tee-shit, engineer boots, and slick jacket?
They are available in a selection of colours from black, bone (a very light beige-ish colour), cream, pink and white. The caps are waterproof and have a slight stiffness to the, which allows them to be shaped when worn, but are still pliable enough to tuck away in your pocket. The bills are either in a shiny patent leather type black, or in a black matte finish.
To order a cap fit to your specifications, please contact me via my email address with your hat size or head measurements (around the head at the top of the ears to the top of the forehead) and we can go from there!
IF YOU WOULD LIKE A LOGO, NAME, OR IMAGE ADDED (with acrylic paint almost anything can be done or created for you!), there will be an additional charge on top of the initial ($65.00) price of the hat.
I can be contacted through my profile or my website at T-PAUL.COM if youre interested!
See ya 'round,
T.Paul

I have some difficulty with the lines between who I am and what I do as they're so intertwined,so if this profile comes accross as a messy melange of "Hello - this is me!" and shameless self promotion, it's only 'cause the lines are so bloody blurred in my own view. It ain't due to any sort of arrogance at all ~ on the contrary ~ I overcompensate sometimes 'cause I'm not always that sure of myself! LOL! I'm not much of a drinker, my social life consists mostly of gig-related things, I'm somewhat awkward at times, very straight forward and blunt to a fault, and a generally accepting and compassionate guy. the rest you can read about if'n you're still interested.

So, I'm a Libra, born in the Chinese Zodiac's year of thesnake, and my element is wood. More on that below...
Diplomatic and popular, the Snake has the sensual art of seduction down. This Sign is an interesting mix of gregariousness paired with introversion, intuitive reasoning paired with savvy business skills. Snakes are considered to be lucky with money and will generally have more than enough to live life to the fullest, regardless of how important it considers money to be; this may be due to the fact that Snakes tend to be rather tight with cash. They're not stingy, they're simply more mentally than physically active. Snakes tend to hang back a bit in order to analyze a situation before jumping into it. Their charming, seductive quality actually belies a rather retiring nature; this Sign is perfectly happy to spend the whole day curled up with a good book and, thus, can be mislabeled as being lazy.
The Snake is somewhat insecure deep down and tend to be a rather jealous, possessive lover, behavior that can end up alienating loved ones. Despite these less-than-stellar tendencies, however, the Snake often proves irresistible and is a generous, loving partner.. Slightly dangerous and disarmingly smart, the Snake's philosophical and intuitive mind generally supersedes logic in favor of feelings and instinct. Snakes will rely on their own gut reactions and intuitions before turning to others for suggestions. This makes this Sign a great hand in any business venture, possessing the caution and smarts needed to get ahead.
Snakes are hard workers (when they see good reason to be!) and are possessed of a keen intelligence. Snakes have incredible follow-through, once they get going, and they expect the same from others. Thus, their coworkers and employees had best stay on their toes, lest they anger the Snake and suffer its poisonous bite!
In general, of course, Snakes are generous and genteel, charming and appealing. Snakes must try to learn humility and to develop a stronger sense of self. Once Snakes realize that confidence comes from within, they will finally be comfortable in their own skin.
The most compatible match for a Snake is the Rooster or the Ox.

Television:

The photo is of my dad, back when he was still with CBC, and me at age 4!
My pops, Jim St. Marie, was one of the original producers at CBC TV back in the 50's, in its beginning days! He started as floor director & went on to become the producer of THE NATIONAL NEWS. After his CBC stint ended he went on to teach broadcasting at Conestoga College, and to look at TV today, teher's oodles of his former students all over the place in broadcasting.
Strangely enough, I've had my share of work with the corp., from hosting TV pilot on poetry & spoken word, appearing on ZedTV a few times, and hosting a radio show satio to station from Vancouver to Newfoundland.
It's true what they say about CBC babies - we're bred in a lab deep in the bowels of Toronto's headquarters, and no matter how much we try to avoid it, we get sucked in - LOL!!!!
