Kohuff

Scruff, Muff and Kohut are three proud young upstanding New Jerseyans who have all known eachother off and on since they were in elementary school. They all started playing instruments, writing songs and joining bands around the same time. There were a couple of bands before Kohuff that included some combinations of the group. Kohut had been in bands with Scruff and bands with Muff, but for some reason it never occurred to them for the three to join forces. The lineup that would become Kohuff first shared a stage during an unlikely improvised set in January of 2004 as a cover band called Commence The Jigglin' in the basement of one of Scruff's co-workers at the time, a fellow by the name of Handsome Dan. The set was pretty much a total train wreck, but everybody saw the band was having fun and thus they all had equally as good a time. The Ergs, good friends of all the members of the group had started encouraging them all to end what current musical projects they were in and that the three of them become a band. They referred to Scruff, Muff and Kohut as "THE MONEY LINEUP". Finally it was decided that The Ergs might be onto something. Shortly after that a name for said group followed by combining the names of the members involved. Kohuff played their first show using that name and playing originals on March 6, 2004 at the Clearfield Fairgrounds in Clearfield, PA to a very warm reception and has been having similar luck with pretty much every show since.
