About Me

Myspace Layout Generator by TheMyspaceLayout.com
I was born Kelleigh Angela Vance in Sydney Australia and demonstrated at a young age a keen interest in ‘the arts’, writing poetry, singing, acting in local theatre and performing in school productions.
Despite going on to study Social Welfare at University and subsequently working in this field for a number of years, I never quite relinquished the passions of my youth and I have now refocused my energies towards my creative gifts. “THE PROTEST POEMS” are a result of this, the collection is complied from my writings spanning from the tender age of eleven until present day.
“these poems were my way of coping with my distress at the state of the world around me, setting free my feelings of anger, they allowed me to voice my deep pain and showed me the path to healing, to have positive energy and effect change.”
While I still reside in Sydney, given my love of travel and desire to be exposed to unique and inspiring cultures I may be found almost anywhere in the world either writing or performing. Check out my BLOG to see where I am, what I am doing and of course when "The Protest Poems" is instores. Thanks for stopping by!
..Apathy is ripe..
False wars, escalating greed, destruction of our environment, the slaughter of endangered species, the continual govermental breaches of human rights together with corrupt elections, increased poverty, the spread of disease, hunger, child abuse, child labour and child soldiers are just some of issues assailing your consciousness on a daily basis.
In the face of such a tremendous feeling of powerlessness “The Protest Poems” compels you to do something, anything, for doing nothing is inconceivable when you are reminded that the intiation of change has always been within your grasp.
This collection of meaningful poems will induce you off your couch, onto the streets to raise your voice, demand justice, to inspire, induce, coerce, persuade us all down a path of better living and in doing so ensuring a real difference in our world today!
"The Protest Poems" simply is a book for people who give a damn..
