I call them “THE FOUR HORSEMEN”

Not only are they Awesome Guitarist they are the most influential guitarist of rock and metal throughout the 80’s, 90’s and now. They have stood the test of time and are the most memorable names in modern guitar. I know this is arguable but it’s my Opinion.

Edward Van Halen- What can anyone say when I first heard this solo “Eruption” I was in jr. high school and it Freaking blew my mind!! I said I “Must play guitar like that!” It still sends chills up and down my spine when I hear it. Van Halen took is band to the height of popularity and his axe slinging can be heard and recognized by nearly everyone who loves Metal and Rock. Writing songs like the 1978 hit “Running with the Devil” to 1980 “The Cradle will Rock” to1981 “Unchained” to 1984 “Jump” and till present day. Eddie’s playing has influenced me more than any player thus far but there are more to come…Check out the Video He embellishes a lot and it was back in 1983 man I was a sophomore then. This is a Rock God at his best.

Steve Vai played with David Lee Roth back in the day after Roth Left Van Halen in 1985. Vai also was somewhat an unknown but his playing grew to bigger heights and popularity as his solo career started to take off. Playing his Ibanez JEM . (Yes Thank God for Ibanez! –Orgasmic twitch here ooohh ) series guitars and using a plethora of effects. Vai's have become an Icon in the world or Rock and Metal guitarist. Starting the G3 tour with Joe Satriani in the mid 90’s that tour has influenced me and many other aspiring guitarists to use our minds and be creative. He has influenced me in that area and although he is a shredder he doesn’t rely on his shredding to get noticed its his over all ability to marry rock and metal riffs with cool modern sounds. Joe Satriani his music makes me think of Corvettes Summer and Women. Yes he has that ability. He has stood the test of time as well and throughout the 80’s and 90’s was among the greats and still is. His playing is smooth talking and he uses his virtuosity to create stories with his music and everyone can see them playing in their minds. Lightning fast shredding but again like Vai doesn’t just stay in one place over and over he uses his creativity to bring you rock, metal, jazz and classical licks like no other guitarist I’ve heard. Yngwie J. Malmsteen the mystro master virtuoso came into the rock metal scene in the late 70’s but remembered for his mind-blowing album Rising Force in 1984. His Neoclassical playing has set a higher platform of guitar and is the icon of many wanna be clones. But there’s only one Yngwie. Lightning fast Arpeggiated riffs and runs I cant even come close yet. He’s been the mark of neoclassical styled playing and his popularity has grown to superstardom. To this day he is one the best-accomplished guitarist and also was a part of the 3g tour in 2004. I have used many of his licks or at least tried…Check out the video.

Sounds Like: Well My Band Ultimatum sounds like a hybrid of Old School Thrash and traditional Metal. We've been compared to Metalica, Megadeth, Exodus, Accept Anthrax and Overkill. Were true to that sound that is what makes us different than the modern sounds of today.

My Personal preferences however are wide and my solo projects consist of traditional Metal, Power Metal and modern Metal with rock and bluesy tones. I wish to dive into playing some very cool guitar instrumental music as well. Keep you ears peeled here for future stuff from me..
