I've put my fingers to the fretboard for well over 20 years and have had the pleasure of playing with many great musicians (and the underwhelming displeasure of playing with a few assholes) during that time. This "business" of music is fucking awesome. I love it. It is bliss above all things in time and space. Music is the ear's window to the soul of the song's creator, and the soul of humanity. And that creator is God to her or his creations. If you have the passion to create music, then do it. You will never regret it. Music is passion. Music is soul. Music is rebellion. Music is everything. Love it. Live it. Be it.
I've had many experiences that most people can't even imagine. I've traversed the often mysterious lines of gender and sexuality in a quest to find my true self. I've been in the bands Ignitor , Red Volution , Boneglove, Bittersweet, and Thunderin Reign, among others. Recently I had to leave Ignitor to take a lucrative job offer and position in another state, but you can bet your butt I'm not gonna stop making heavy music! In fact, you oughta be seeing my first solo album, Solo 1, available on Nimbit now. I am already writing new material for my second solo album, on which I hope to have drum performances by my son, Anvil, and be a crushing, shredding, piece of heavy metal. Although, by the amazing number of sales I've had of my own stuff on Nimbit in the past couple of months (none!), I may just blow off writing/recording heavy stuff. Seems like no one wants it. Oh well! I don't do it for money anyway... but if no one listens, then what's the point, right? lol
