Pornographic Poetry is just me, Jim, with the occasional assistance of my brother Jon, who is a professional classical musician/composer. Jon usually does backing music, mixing and engineering on some of the more musically complex songs. With the exception of Jon, this is entirely a solo project.

About Us
Jim: Born and raised in Southern California (South Orange County). I Now live in Germany at the border to The Netherlands, France and Belgium. International lawyer/consultant by trade, but artist by bad/destructive addiction. Contrary to my presentation, I lead a simple life of work and more work. Who I am or how I think shouldn't be interpreted from the style or subject of what I do. It's only intended to be artistic. Jon: Born raised in Southern California (South Orange County), classically trained in music.

About the Music
Most of all songs are recorded semi-live: Guitar, vocal and drum tracks are always recorded simultaneously. I, Jim, sing on all songs. Real instruments are used. I play guitar, bass, piano, drums, melodica, harmonica, and some violin. Jon plays over 12 instruments including some medieval ones. Some songs are nevertheless supplemented with virtual instruments.

I am never satisfied with the quality of what I/we do and I am constantly striving to improve. I am an art-junkie/addict and the purpose of this is not to sell anything, nor to become famous.
