I’m fo sho a Leo/Virgo. I lived in Southern California most of my life and now I’m writing and recording my album in Portland. Last year I spent a good part of my time traveling around in a Chevy school bus that I made into a tour vehicle. Those were the days..
I can do spine tingling impersonations of the following Chanteusses: Alanis Morissette, Michael Bolton, Michael McDonald, Cher, Louis Armstrong, and probably more. I might even be able to "do" you.
I really love shock value. It's so valuable.
Songs come from my dreams, my imagination, and my heart... and singin’ them to ya, well it’s just my favorite little thing to do.
I’m a DoItYourself kinda lass. I record my songs with an iBook and some basic geeky musical equipment using Garageband. In order to keep myself from living in sewers and to avoid slaving away for the man, I do web design sometimes. I’m a computer nerd just like my dad, who is also a magical holistic doctor. (www.TheEmotionCode.com - His new book is available now and it can change your life)
I have a big family and we’re all artistic in our own ways. Some of us paint, play music, some of us are dancing queens, but we’re all freaktastic and that’s what makes us a fam. I probably was a mermaid in some other life I can’t remember. Do you believe in fish-people?
It feels more natural to look and spin to the left. The ocean tumbling me head over feet looks and feels fun. I like to play dress up and talk in funny voices. Doubling over in laughter suits us all well. Also, I like crying a good cry but it seems to happen less and less for me nowadays because I’m pretty damn happy. I like those awkward moments that make my face burn because it reminds me I’m alive. When you can see right through me it makes me feel a little of that good nervous thing. That happens a lot because I’m a very transparent sort of person. But I do keep secrets.
I like writing songs where strangers make appearances. I like you. I like hearing good news... Sipping all the sugary foam from the inside of the latte. Falling asleep in the sunlight and waking up with a strange tan. I prefer lions like Aslan. Sometimes I go through these phases in which I’m extremely introverted and want nothing to do with "the world", then I’ll snap out of it, grin a stupid grin, and go on living like a normal human. I think those phases are necessary though for some reason. I tend to gravitate toward highly eccentric people. The oddity makes life more fun and makes for interesting songs too.
