Grinder - The History Of Heavy Metal

About Me

The History Of Heavy Metal is a collection of approximately 2 hours of mainly 80s and 90s Rock & Heavy Metal covers - from AC/DC to Led Zep, Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Megadeth, Michael Schenker, Aerosmith, GnR, Whitesnake, Van Halen and Thin Lizzy - all of the which we can vary depending on the crowd... We don't take things too seriously and realise that the music isn't exactly current, but we're sure there are lots of thirty something people out there that need a night out, a trip down memory lane, where they can hear all of their old favourites played by one band... and we're also finding that new generations of metal fans know where their favourite bands came from..!

With DJ Nick from Aftermath spinning a cocktail of old and new rock tunes between bands, the room was well in the mood for local boys Grinder – The History Of Heavy Metal who, on any given night, are going to be an absolute fucking riot. Covering ALL the metal classics you could ever want – punters are pissed up and treated to a soundtrack of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Saxon covers amongst others. The room is full of air-guitaring for the duration of their set which ends with a riotous encore of Bring Your Daughter To The Slaughter and For Whom The Bell Tolls.3 great bands. Loads of booze. Loads of great tunes. Satisfied bar staff. Satisfied punters and everyone left with their ears ringing. Job done.
