Look for & have Faith in yourself! All-Time Favorite Albums... Welcome......... to my personal site. The band-site link is on the friends list. Check it out. So here it goes...I grew-up in a few towns. The Pas, M.B.(Yup! Ukrainian) till I was 10, then Williams Lake, B.C. till 1988. My passion since I was 12 has been music. I started playing drums (1965 Trixon 5 piece set) at home and in my school band before moving to Alto Saxophone. However I still played drums. When I was 14 I bought my own bass guitar (MANN Jazz bass). Steve Harris of 'Iron Maiden' was my idol. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So on Oct 31st 1986 I bought my first guitar. A cool Red Series A. Darwin had sold me the guitar and would give me pointers alot. At this point I was dealing with a family break-up and went on my own at 16. I had a basement suite and my '77 Grande prix. I worked at Starline Cedar mill after school to pay bills. My buddies Dave & Parents, Chris, Harold & Byron, Aaron(DJ) and Niomi were awesome friends. I also met Shelley in Mar 15/87. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At this time Todd J. Kulessa, and I started working together in Dec of 1987. We had just both started learning guitar, and were introduced by Darwin Yano. At first we didn't get along which was pretty funny, because we always hung around each other. However that quickly subsided. We had a kick-ass time playin and cruisin around. We would go hiking out by the fraser river. Good memories. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In May 1988 I moved to Prince George, B.C. Todd and I still stayed in contact. I was there for about a year. Met some cool people and made friends that are close as ever today. After moving to Winnipeg, Todd came out and we had gotten more serious about recording. Todd & I got a place on Young st. Playin till all hours of the morning. We recorded alot in Winnipeg in 1989-1992. Releasing the 'EP' on cassette in June of 1991. We had alot of good times here. Jules would visit often. One of my coolist memories was when I won tickets on 92CITI FM to go see Iron Maiden. There was 5 of us and we had a blast. The start of 1992 saw Todd go back to BC and on Feb 10th/92 my baby girl (Alyssa) was born. Within 5 months we split-up. It really hurt me. So I left for Ontario to work. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In 1993 I spent some time in Windsor/Detroit (which was awesome). Anyway, after about 10 months there, I returned to my home in Manitoba and we recorded the self titled cassette 'EDEN MYRRH' at my house. Todd and I really worked deligantly on the recording. Just the two of us recorded all the instruments. Released it Friday 13th August-1993. (A memorial for Wayne Coombe is in the interview). We then hit the road to Ontario to promote. After a few weeks Todd returned to B.C. I continued marketing which turned out horrible. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Then in 1996 in Edmonton I met a female vocalist. We worked hard on the songs and I wrote the music to her lyrics. Brad came in and we worked on the tracks in the studio. However there were disputes during the recording process. *We recently met and hopefully any grudges have been forgotten. However in Feb of 1999 I moved to Portland Oregon to play with 'Midnite Serenade'. The gig was short lived. Too much inner turmoil in the band. However I still met some cool people. Hanging out with Tony, Aaron, Nicky and Cheryl. Alot of my family live down in Vancouver/Portland as well. I really did had some goodtimes. When Jules came in from Japan, we had a killer visit. Good laughs! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So I left for Alberta. I began running heavy equipment. Todd would come visit from Kelowna. We still wrote material, but honestly I'd given up. I began working on the Drilling Rigs. Still in Jan I started working on a band-site. Which is now the background of the band-site. Then sadly on Feb 9th-2002 Todd suddenly past away. It was a stab to my soul. We were best-friends for 14yrs. A few months later, I cut all my hair off. Then after 2 yrs, finally broken... I left Edmonton depressed & lost, for my home in Manitoba! Once there I had the joy of family court. I needed to spend time with my daughter Alyssa. At this time I re-kindled with Shelley (my Angel). We were high school sweethearts. There was still alot of feelings alive there. With her, I know now where my life belongs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In June of 2008 I've finally gotten the operatunity to finish our original plan to re-issue 'EDEN MYRRH'. Brad finished the Drum tracks & Bass tracks are being worked on. Recording the 3 discs is top of the agenda. My friends playing & writing will NOT be left unheard! Its simply a matter of respect. A NEW Interview with Jules is on the band-site. As well as the Original tracks from 1992-1993. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Through all of this music and work. Shelley & I plan to go on a trip. Haven't decided where, but we deserve it. Family means alot. All updates will be on the band-site. Thanks for your interest....... Nikko
