Born In USSR (like in Beatles song) in 1987, but in age of 8 moved to Finland. I started my music lessons at age of 9, first on piano but at age of 11 moved to guitar. Started taking classical guitar lessons at Tampere Conservatory at age of 11.
First band ever played in was INSTRUMETAL, which was formed by me and my buddy Janne Melanen. We formed it in 2001. I use to play bass in this group, but after while we started to suffle the instruments and got into electric guitar pretty heavely. After while we got a new guy in our class Marko R., who became good friend of Janne and was pretty good drummer, so the final piece was there!
In year 2003 we did our first demo called: Deadly Genius. Heavely influenced by Van Halen, Metallica, Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. The demo contained 4 songs: Deadly Genius, Weird Naked Alien, Funeral March and Dark Sense.
After some gigs and couple of sold demos we did INSTRUMETAL's second demo wich was a hit!!! It came out in early 2004 and it was called: Oriental Revenge. Again heavely influenced by: Metallica, Steve Vai, Satriani etc. We became these young talents in our city. So the records sales were way bigger than last demo (about 50-60 sold).
But after sometime I went to new school, and others stayed in same place, band got freezed and after awhile we broke up.
But not was not only the bad thing, it was also in some twisted way also a good thing. 'Coz I started to write my own stuff a la Satriani and Vai. Year after band splitted I went to studio to record my brand new solo songs, with my old friend Janne and the new drummer AP Niemi, who's very talented guy. I made my first solo demo called: The Unborn, which contained 3 songs: Music For The Heart, Nancy's Tender Touch and The Unborn.
But demo with 3 songs was hard to sell, so I added 4 new home-recorded songs and it became demo called: The Seven Metaphoras of Life, for which Teemu Rajala did the coverart. Great job! My new demo is now available ([email protected]), get your own! (Sold already 60 copies)
My future plans are to get record-deal with any record label that wants to put my album out there. If that fails, I go to studio to record some new stuff to rock the world out!!!!
