About Me

Back in the practice room, April 2008
some rare footage from the SpaceJunk sessions, 2006...
the truth behind the post-it note conspiracy, and the guy from the monkees:
The Wrong Line 6 - A modern musical detective story:
Classic studio moments with Maesto David Trumpmanis:
and Eliot "Hot Cakes" Fish on the job:
they played our first single 'Enough About Me' a lot.which was nice.the album that song came off was called 'Here's To The Start of Something Beautiful'. It was our firstest ever album. It was released on Chatterbox Records in September 2004. Then we toured the east coast with The Cops and Red Riders. Triple J put us in their 'New Crop of 2004'.which was nice.then, it was like, whoah, like, what HAPPENED to like, todd sparrow, and stuff? it was like, they just, kinda, DISAPPEARED, or whatever. On the contrary however, comma, young Nicholas, David, Eliot and Robert have been secreting themselves away in a luxuriant sonic posterity facilitation facility in an undisclosed sydney location, and ALBUM NUMBER TWO, as it's so poetically and workingly titled, IS ON THE WAY.stay tuned for some new tunes up on this here myspace site. xx ts

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: toddsparrow.com
Band Members:
Influences: Well, all 4 members have played in Sydney's "indie" guitar rock melody kings Big Heavy Stuff at one time or another so that's inevitable.Eliot has toured France with and played on records by the even more legendary Apartments, so that's where the European darkness comes from.David's solo project Trumpmanis explores his love of Bjork, NiN and the Warp label so the sonics are well and truly taken care of.Nick loves the Kiwi's and the American post-hardcore scene so he hits accordingly.Robert writes great songs, plays angular guitar and acts part-time. Sings like an angel.
Sounds Like: Melodic, tear-jerking, pop-structured, angular, gear-shifting guitar-based (occasionally piano-led) atmospheric rock music with rousing choruses.
Type of Label: Indie
