1/2 of The Revolving Band = The Revolving Trio

About Me

The Revolving Trio was born out of The Revolving Band, a group that was fortunate enough to lock down a 6 month residency at Molly Malones, and consequentially end up being signed to Interscope Records. But, after the band was signed, Reeve (the lead singer) and Charles (the pianist) left to tour in Jonny Lang's Band. During this time, the Revolving Band could not perform, but the rhythm section still wanted to play every week, and thus The Revolving Trio was formed. The band contains Zane Carney on Guitar, JD on Bass, and Gavin Salmon on Drums, and the goal of the group is to experiment by smashing different forms of improvised music together, in hopes of creating some sweetness/awesomeness. In fact, in an effort to fully express that idea, every week, the Trio would probe the audience for unique words, or phrases or colors, and would create a song from scratch using those thoughts. "Zebra" is one of those tunes, and we hope you appreciate the spontanaeity of the peice. Anywho, the explanation of how the Revolving Trio came about is a confusing one considering how it spawned from the Revolving Band, but putting that all aside, we hope that you enjoy our music!Oh, and I just made a short film with the hilarious guys from www.funnymovieinternet.com, and I've been letting everyone know about it! I play an evil super villian named Guitarissimo, and I get a chance to fight Fun Sporty Single Father with my "world ending" riffs! Just click on the picture to take a gander...
