I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I Love Lots of stuff/things - my favorite animals is puppies and my favorite color is light tanOh, and here's my new webpage:www.zanecarney.comHit it up, and let me know what you think. Definitely a work in progress!Ooo, another update kids! I filmed a short with the amazing dudes at www.funnymovieinternet.com, and it is now on youtube. It's a comic book movie, and I play the evil arch-nemesis of Fun Sporty Single Father. My name is Guitarissimo, and I get a chance to let loose a little shred solo. Just click on the picture right below here, and you will taken to a world like no other...

My Interests

I play the guitar as often as I can, and I enjoy investing my time into as many musical endeavors as I can get my hands on. I feel very blessed that my job life revolves around something that I am so passionate about. Most of the time, the only two focuses in my life are the spiritual growth of myself and my friends around me, and music. But, outside of those two passions I, on occasion, have been known to enjoy a video game here and there - that's most likely a gross understatement :) - and recently I've rediscovered my love for literature, fiction and non-fiction alike. As far as liesure is concerned, what I probably enjoy the most is a good converstion, especially when the discourse carries itself into the philosophical, theological, metaphysical, or spiritual realm. And now I sound pretentious...dirty rat!

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who = either nice or awesome!

Music:

Reeve Carney (check out his myspace music site at www.myspace.com/reevecarney - he's the lead singer of my band AND my brother - wassup now son!), REGINA SPEKTOR!, Sean Lennon, Wes Montgomery, Django Reindhart, Morton Lauridsen, Ollabelle, Claude Debussy, Marice Ravel, James Taylor, Norah Jones, Jeff Buckley, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, Israel and New Breed, Kim Burrell, John Scofield, Charlie Hunter, Bill Frisell, Oz Noy, ScoLoHoFo, Aerosmith, Thicke (although some of the lyrical content is rather brash), Damien Rice, Frederic Chopin, Beuna Vista Social Club and a good deal more. Generally speaking I like music that is not over-produced, that has integrity and depth, and that has great musicians playing on it. And just recently I actually started listening to lyrics so I'm down with that too!

Movies:

Spiderman 2 - sorry to start off with such a commmercial blockbuster, but it's the first one that came to mind :) - The Sandlot, The Mighty Ducks, Snow Falling on Cedars (my brother is in this one), Batman (with Michael Keaton), Batman Returns, The Sweet and Lowdown, Lord of The Rings (all of em), The Matrix (all of em), obviously My Giant, oh, and I saw three silent movies on Fairfax and really enjoyed them, but the names seem to have removed themselves from my memory...

Television:

Sports have pretty much become the only reason I turn on the T.V. Something happened once I started going to USC - it was the mixture of having a championship football team right on campus, and a roomate that pretty muched watched every Angels game...and things just clicked (Big Daddy reference for all you Sandler fans) The truth is that I do watch T.V. every now and then, but it's usually just to channel surf because I'm bored or want to see a score to a game. So I tend to watch bits and pieces of different news programs, sports, and reality shows (even though they have become so cliché at this point, reality shows are relatively addictive once I allow for myself to be susceptible to their mind-numbing...reality?) Oh, and I always love a classic rerun of Dave's World when I'm watching PAX TV at 3 a.m. in Hannover, Germany.

Books:

I've actually started reading again, and here are my recent ones: The Sirens of Titan - Vonnegut (Mad props to Madeline for this one - good find Madelicious:-) ; The Unbearable Lightness of Being (almost done) - Kundera; Metamorphasis - Kafka; The Confederacy of Dunces - Toole (Just started this one thanks to Yvonne/Minkoff)

Heroes:

He is risen and in my opinion/belief, He is the best example of what's possible
