About Me

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor - Image Hosting

Cavern are brothers Glenn and Jeff Mitchell.Former members of various bands, Jeff started his musical career in the Sixties just missing the height of the Beatlemania!, he was for a short time a member of an early R&B band that developed into Amen Corner, and has played as a session player with a number of UK Beat groups.Glenn started his musical career in the late 80's and has been in a number of Sixties tribute bands most importantly The Silver Beatles, portraying the part of John Lennon.Glenn and Jeff got together to form their first duo 'Revival' in 1998, performing cover versions at holiday centres and clubs in the north west area, before putting their love of the Sixties music together and changing musical styles to form 'The BeatBrothers' in 2000, which changed to 'Cavern' in 2004, since then the lads have enjoyed great local and nationwide success performing all over the UK, and have had the pleasure to perform abroad in Spain and Denmark, and also the honour of performing on the same stage as some of their musical hero's, Mike Pender's Searchers, The Undertakers, and Gerry Marsden.Cavern recreate the vibrant sounds of the Merseybeat era, from The Beatles to The Searchers, The Swinging Blue Jeans, Gerry and the Pacemakers and many others from the Mersey Beat era.Cavern use original Guitars of the period, from Rickenbacker, Epiphone, Gibson and Hofner, and have specially made stage backdrops to set the mood and take the audience right back to the era, the illuision is completed by classic Sixties stage gear of Black 'Beatles' narrow lapelled suits with the famous Cuban heeled 'Beatle' boots.Cavern change into pin stripped Carnaby street suits with silk shirts for the second half of the show where the psychadelic era is brought into vibrant colour, specialist lighting and effects are used to bring those hippy days back to life.Cavern are a Guitar/Keyboard combo who perform the classic Cavern hits from the British Beat Boom years of the Sixties. From the Cavern and Beatlemania years to the vibrant colour of the psychadelic era.For a great night of Sixties nostalgia, let Cavern take you back to the birth of the Sixties and the beginnings of Beatlemania. For booking enquiries and more details contact Cavern onMobile 07769856164
