Influences: When I was a kid I could cry when I heard sentimental songs in the radio. I loved classic songs like 'North To Alaska' and 'The Ballad of Davy Crockett'.
As teenager one of my favorites was 'Teenage Idol' with Ricky Nelsson.
A fantastic song
When The Brit Rock came around in the sixties I preferred the more melodic parts from Beatles, Searchers and even some of Rolling Stones songs. 'Lady Jane' was one of my Favourites. When Animals played 'The House Of The Rising Sun' I was dragged towards The Rhythm & Blues. My Friends in the bands I played introduced me to the Classic Rock'n'Roll. I sat hours, no days and nights and trained Chuck Berry riffs.
My way true to the country music was founded on a trip 25 years ago in the US. I was staying at a hotel in Tennessee. A sign, telling that there were music in the bar same night, got me to ask the man in the reception, what sort of music it was. He said: 'Countriiie Man'. Well, I thought that would be some boring old fashion thing with cowboy boots. The boots were right. But apart from that, I got one of my life's greatest experiences in music. The drums and base were better than any other rocking band I've heard. The Fenders were flying, the girls laughing and singing like angels. And a top tuned old man were entertaining and singing to everybody's heart.
My song writing is influenced from all sorts of things. Most songs do simply appear, when playing my guitar. Then it is very important for me to get it down very quick.
The songs are like dreams, if you don't try to catch them right away, they are gone.
