I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

myspace
layoutsI have been involved in the media since early 1990's. From researcher for TV, Radio, Record Companies and Music related industry to management of events and publicity campaigns from Harness Racing to music events, bands/artists to individual projects. Also worked for BBC Radio Bristol and BCfm. From reporter, presenter, script writer, researcher and producer. I am also a member of the National Union of Journalists.
I also write for a music web site - reviews to interviews to photography and able to write successful copy for many projects and sometimes design web sites. (Always knew my college courses would come in handy one day!)
Having been brought up in a musical family -Aunty and Uncles who took to the road .... I've also been known to sing from time to time, but only on special occasions such as a fund raising gig. Having recorded some material for a project called "The Visitors" in the 1990's we sometimes get together and just burst into song because we enjoy singing! A mixture of covers and folk based material.
I am a big ABBA fan and am an ABBA consultant/specialist - I suppose you could say - doing interviews about the band for TV and Radio shows, magazine and newspaper interviews, researching material for TV, Radio, book authors for example making sure information is correct at the time (from UK to Europe and Australia) as and when required. Additionally, I manage ABBA related events when time allows. I also provide ABBA/Related memorabilia for photo shoots, record releases, magazines and TV shows. The latest being "Mamma Mia! Where Did It All Go Right?"
I also specialise in Abba Tribute Bands and additional tribute artists/bands running Abba Tribute Bands Worldwide and Tribute Heaven where only the best tributes are recommended.
And I also love the opportunity to work with original bands and artists too having done some publicity for a number of acts in the past as well. Believe me there are some hidden gems out there that will shine bright in the future!
If you are reading my profile I am always willing to discuss work/projects/events that you have in mind, all you have to do is get in touch with me through myspace or by e-mail: kaceyoneill - at - blueyonder - dot - co - dot - uk (the things we do to try and avoid spam!!)

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I've met so many people, whilst working in the media. From the famous and not so famous and had the opportunity to interview them. Some of my favourite interviews include 'Art and Power', 'Bristol Cancer Help Centre', 'Organic and real food festival' to a little boy who is blind and was on an adventure holiday. He really loved being part of the whole experience. Anything is possible no matter what. He wants to work in radio one day and I'm sure he will, but his favourite song at the time was Hear'Say "Show me the way to your love" which was played after his interview, he introduced the song himself, but I always think of that little boy and how he embraced life every time I hear that song.

I've also interviewed Bjorn Again, Hazell Dean, Jackie Stallone, Chris Green, Modesty Blaise, Anthony Worral Thompson, Sharron Davies, The Wurzels, Fred Wedlock, The Smiths Indeed, Sgt Peppers Only Darts Board Band, Mesh, Jagged, Martyn Joseph among others and enjoyed every moment chatting with them.

I also had the opportunity to join Richard Arnold on GM:tv and interview Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Julie Walters, Colin Firth, Amanda Seyfried, Christine Baranski, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, and of course ABBA's Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus (my second meeting with him, the first in 1999!) at the Mamma Mia! film premiere in London on 30th June 2008. And my friend, fellow ABBA fan and BBC radio presenter Luke Deal was also there doing interviews which made it a worthwhile experience. We still talk about it now and the great opportunity we would not have missed for the world!

As to whom I'd like to meet ..... I'll get back to you on that one, but work wise I'm happy to meet most people. Especially if they have an interesting story to tell and have their feet firmly planted on the ground. Oh and a sense of humour is always a welcome addition.

I am using myspace for networking, like minded people involved in the areas of work I am involved in, so we may just be able to help each other out, that is what networking is all about. I'm also here so I can keep in contact with friends, family and work colleagues with most receiving personal invites, so please don't be offended if your request is turned down because this space is mainly work related.

I always love chatting to people and here are one or two I have had the opportunity to interview and loved every minute of it!

And some famous people I have met along the way
