The band started as a side project/tribute band by individuals who were then involved with their own different bands, Albert & Jepoi (Nofuckingmorals), Erwin (Strap On Seven Inch, Free For All), Mark (Empty) and Ronald (Mindrape). The original plan was to be a cover band paying homage to old school Pinoi punk acts like Dead Ends, Urban Bandits and so on, but that quickly changed when they started writing their own material. Eventually, they became the 5-man expression unit we now know as THE BEAUTY OF DOUBT. In 2003, they released their debut CD entitled "Everything Ends" under the independent label Counterflow Records. This was followed by their second release, "The Nothing" in 2005 under the same label. In 2006, they contributed a song (Vampire Sam/The Global Order) to "Rock Against The Round", an anti-WTO compilation album sponsored by different NGO's in the country .
