RIOTS are a form of civil disorder characterised by disorganised groups lashing out in a sudden and intense rash of violence and noise. While a RIOT may be premeditated and intentionally incited, a true RIOT is quickly joined by people without foreknowledge of the RIOT. While individuals may attempt to lead or control a RIOT, RIOTS are particularly chaotic and exhibit mob mentality.Spread the word, a RIOT is coming.Live at Red Blood Club, Dallas, Texas 25th Jan 08

Influences:

"Forget the minefield of pointless musical genres - Bristol's RIOT:NOISE are here to blow your mind with old-school rock n roll and bags of attitude. Drummer Dan Fortune is the brains behind the band's steady backbone, which underpins Godzilla sized riffs and arena-ready vocals. RIOT:NOISE have arrived, don't be the last to join the party! Rhythm Magazine June 2008"

"The name conjures up yet another tattooed-to-the-max-scene-core band rather than the debauched bunch of rock n roll scoundrels from the southwest of Blighty. They've just released their debut single themselves (who needs record labels these days, eh?!) and their kick-ass rock n roll isn't half bad! Packing a punch of infectious dirty rock, RIOT:NOISE have all the right moves to make them a formidable band and definitely worthy of your attention. Check em out now! - Rock Sound Magazine issue 111 - July 2008"

Dunno about a riot but these guys could probably incite a pretty vicious mosh pit! Sitting on the grittier side of sleaze, next to masters of that guitar sound from the gutter like Backyard Babies and the young Guns N Roses, this is boisterous, ballsy and heavy stuff – built for slamming into your mates and slopping beer about on every booming beat.NEVER WRONG SINGLE REVIEW – Bubblegum Slut Zine – June 2008

"It should come as no surprise, but I believe that honesty is the best policy. As the B-52's told us - Tell it like it T-I-IS. So, with that in mind, it is somewhat refreshing to write a positive review of a new band without the need to rely on cocky comparisons and pithy put downs to spice up the basics.Formed barely a year ago, Bristol based RIOT:NOISE will release this two track single in June - and what a great couple of tracks they are. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that they are sweeter than a monkey cock. Lead track 'Never Wrong' is an awesome introduction to a band tighter than OJ Simpson's leather gloves. Velvet Revolver would be a lazy comparison, but I'll leave that to the people who bought 'Permission To Land'. In a service station. And felt rebellious in doing so. I hear a little Junkyard in the stew of this song and that, in the mind of this reviewer at least, is a cast iron compliment. Second track 'San Francisco' drags me back to the release of 'Total 13' by Backyard Babies - a dirty needle in a haystack of shit that was the decade that cool almost forgot. You just know that a song that reminds the listener of something from that Fonz-cool classic of an album is gonna be an ass-kicker, right?!?I raise a horned salute to the slew of UK bands who are keeping the down 'n' dirty sleaze rock dream alive. Many bands are laying claim to the title of spearheads of this retro-fuelled rock 'n' roll renaissance - sadly, few can even spell it let alone do it justice. RIOT:NOISE are, at worst, as good as these bands who think that thousands of MySpace friends means that they are a mere hair straightener's length away from mega-stardom. Given the state of the music business at present, the oft-used "I predict big things for this band...." mantra is now a virtual misnomer. Instead, I will say that RIOT:NOISE have the potential to cause a sizeable dent in a fractured industry. Recommended." - www.glitzine.net - May 2008

RIOT:NOISE? Im sure these boys do cause some dirty, sleazy riots when they get up on stage, with shredding guitar solos from Scott and gravily vocals from Marty, these boys have produced one great band and some rockin' songs. On their new two track single I personally prefer the first track - Never Wrong, but thats not to say San Francisco isn't a great song to rock out to as well...with its great guitar solo mid-song and catchy chorus for you to chant along to you wont be able to stop yourselves. If you're into the dirty Rock n Roll scene then this is one band you definitely need to hold your JD glasses up to and rock out with.4/5 - www.fat-wrok.com - May 2008
