About Me

Ruby Studios was established in 2004. The classic late-70s design AMEK ANGELA mixing desk was shipped over to Bristol from Ground Zero studios in Brighton. Two 1960s Telefunken V76 mic preamps were racked and imported from Germany. We use Tape and Pro Tools TDM to capture the tones and the vibe. We use the best Analog to Digital converters available - Prism Dream. Monitoring is courtesy ADAM S3-A mid-fields. Mics by Neumann, Rode, AKG, Shure, Audio Technica, T-bone Ribbons, Sennheiser, Audix, Electrovoice. Outboard includes Neve, Empirical Labs, Manley, TLA, TC, Lexicon, Quantec, Phoenix Audio. Specs and lists are all very well.....

Its all about the music.

Owner Rob Williams can also sometimes be found loitering around the mixing desk at Bristol's live music venues such as the Louisiana, Joe Publics and the Fleece.
