LeTroupe is a collective group of entertainers, poets, producers, artist and singers. Le Troupe was created in 2005 through a network of artists hailing from South Carolina. Its members are Rebecca Jackson, Jahkim Alleyne, Iris Joseph, Sage Lion, Leon (Chessy Pete) Keith and William Belin. A poetry night showcasing at Club Savoy evolved into the recording of a cd Speak Up! Volume 1. From there we gained the interest of the community. Weve performed at Jazz in the Park, 2006 Black Family Expo, 94.3 mid day show, 106.3s Home Grown cipher, Omega Lounge,The Apollo Theather visiting the Florence Civic Center and various other venues outside of the County and East Coast. Le Troupe was created in 2005 with the desire to showcase the rare talents of South Carolina. Often unknown and unheard to the rest of the world, our mission is to Speak Up! in volumes to the masses.To be the voice of the soul that cannot and will not express itself;and to and for the soul that boldly does so also.
