LeTroupe is a collective group of entertainers, poets, producers, artist and singers. Le Troupe was created in 2005 through a network of artists hailing from South Carolina. Its members are Rebecca Jackson, Jahkim Alleyne, Iris Joseph, Sage Lion, Leon (Chessy Pete) Keith and William Belin.
A poetry night showcasing at Club Savoy evolved into the recording of a cd Speak Up! Volume 1. From there we gained the interest of the community. Weve performed at Jazz in the Park, 2006 Black Family Expo, 94.3 mid day show, 106.3s Home Grown cipher, Omega Lounge and various other venues.
Le Troupe was created in 2005 with the desire to showcase the rare talents of South Carolina. Often unknown and unheard to the rest of the world, our mission is to Speak Up! in volumes to the masses.
