The real beginning of the band started in early 2004 by Potash, Rizzo, and Hoyer under the name Grim Fate. Due to lack of progression the band decided not to continue under these circumstances. Joe P. went on to join another local metal act while Drew and Joe H. formed a new outfit. The trio reunited back again in late 2006 inviting Zajac into the mix. With previous and newly compiled material, Horrifier went on to record thier first demo. Later down the road, Vaspory is asked to take over vocals.
