About Me

(THIS SITE IS NOT RUN BY RAZOR) This is a fan site for people who like The Canadian Thrash Band Razor And Support There Cool Fuckin Music:RAZOR!!!!! Is Full speed! Full throttle! Pure unadulterated thrash metal! Personally I can't get enough of this stuff. Razor is a band with a long history, yet they never gained much in the way of commercial success. However, commercial success does not make a good album. Razor combine the thrash ethics of bands like ,Venom,Slayer, MotorHead and early Metallica yet Razor have a slightly more punk ethic to their music. There is plenty of speedy riffs, fast drumming, shredding guitar solos, and the mosh polka ethic to please any fan of this genre, of which I am one. Of course there is also the use of the chainsaw's... Chainsaws and guitars, is there anything more fun than that? Lyrically Razor is the musical equivalent of a Serial Killer On A Violent killing rampage , Fight Music If You Will or even a night of WWF Wrestling. Tales of anger and violence was the flavor of the day for most thrash bands in the late 80's and Razor fell right into the mold. However, the lyrics are delivered in such a way that they are no where near as important as the music. After hearing there music I'll have to investigate more of this band's catalogue... Razor Canada's longest running thrash band whose history dates back just as far as any of the more well known thrash bands. For some reason, despite a loyal underground following, Razor never seemed to make it out of the underground. The band broke up briefly in 1992, but founder/guitarist Dave Carlo reformed Razor with an entirely new lineup in 1997 and recorded "Decibels."... Razor made some noise in the mid-eighties with a string of albums displaying a strong Slayer-esque vibe, and were for a time one of Canada's best known thrash bands. They managed a reasonable following but never quite made the major leagues, finally disbanding in 1992 and then reforming several years later. Since then, one album has been released (1997's Decibels) and the band has otherwise been rather quiet though they have not officially broken up.The Band Has Put Out 10 Albums Since 1984 Armed And Dangerous EP 1984 Executioners Song 1985- Evil Invaders 1985-Malicious Intent 1986- Custom Killing 1987-Violent Restitution 1988-Shotgun Justice 1990-Open Hostility-1991Exhumed 2-CD compilation 1994 -Decibels 1997
