Myspace LayoutsMusic has always been a big part of Johnny Tarantino's life. He started playing the saxophone when he was 8 years old and 3 years later was performing in the Minneapolis Junior Symphony. He studied at the McPhail School of Music. Later he took up trumpet, piano and guitar. He sang a duet with his sister before 800 students when in 5th grade, which kindled his desire to be singer, and he played lead roles in his high school musicals. After several years of modeling and odd jobs, Johnny decided to focus on his music, and started writing songs. He was encouraged to move to Nashville, where he still maintains a residence.
Lately, business endeavors have taken a lot of his time and energy and he has not been active in the local music scene. But his heart is always with singers, songwriters, and musicians.
