Tori is a 17-year-old Australian singer/songwriter who has for the past 8 years appeared on several television commercials, performed in musical theatre productions and has featured as a guest artist at many major events around Australia.She has been honoured to have sung before Her Excellency Governor Marjorie Jackson-Nelson, Prime Minister John Howard, Premier Mike Rann, Treasurer Peter Costello, and President Bill Clinton at ‘An Evening with President Clinton’ in 2001.In November 2002, she sang the national anthem in front of a crowd of 35,000 at the SANFL Grand Final. The following year she again had the pleasure of singing the national anthem at Showdown 13, Crows vs. Port Power, before a record crowd of 51,000 fans at AAMI Stadium. In 2001 and 2002, Tori performed at The Advertiser - Carols by Candlelight evenings in Elder Park to crowds of 35,000.Recipient of the Variety Club’s ‘Young Arts Achiever Award’ and the ‘South Australian Young Composers Award, Tori was invited by Ian ‘Molly' Meldrum to sing on a pilot show "Mollywood" in September 2004. This was filmed at Channel 7 Studios in Melbourne, September 2004. Other guests also included Kate Ceberano, Killing Heidi, Eran James and Christian Alexanda.In 2004, at the age of 14, Tori signed to Daniel Jones (Savage Garden)’s production label, Meridienmusik, for a period of one year. During this time, Tori and Daniel spent a large amount of time in Brisbane recording and producing a promotional album consisting of tracks submitted by writers including Matthew Gerrard, Kara DioGuardi and Charlton Pettus. In June 2005, Tori, alongside of Daniel, showcased for Sony/BMG Australia, but was advised, due to her age, to embark on a songwriting program.In April 2006 Tori embarked on a songwriting trip to New York, Nashville and Los Angeles and was fortunate to work with prominent songwriters and producers including Toby Gad (Fergie, The Veronicas, Natasha Bedingfield), Madeline Stone/Salme Dahlstrom (Billy Gilman) and Michael Garvin (Jennifer Lopez).Last year, Tori successfully completed her final year of schooling and was accepted into the Laws and Legal Studies course at Adelaide Flinders University. Tori has decided to defer her studies in order to focus on her music. This year, Tori has worked with many Australian writers including Jamie Sullivan, Gary Pinto, Phil Turcio and Paul Cecchinelli.Tori is currently composing and recording her debut album, collaborating with producers/writers including TOMMY DENANDER (Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crowe), Daniel Jones (Savage Garden) and Andreas Carlsson (Celine Dion, Britney Spears, LeAnn Rimes).
