Georgia Horgan is a 17 year Australian singer/songwriter who has for the past years performed at many major events and charity functions around Australia. She is out to prove that even those in wheelchairs can achieve anything they put their mind to it.Over the past 4 years, Georgia has been writing and recording her own original material alongside of her uncle David Pointon. She often writers about her personal experiences and has dedicated a song to her family, her good friend Stuart Dennard who passed away, Andrew her uncle, Emma her aunty and Laila her cousin in Sydney. She has also spoken about the challenges she faces being in a wheelchair.She has joined her twin sister Tori at many major functions including the 'Variety International Convention' Humanitarian Award Dinner in Sydney, in May 2004, where Molly Meldrum attended.She has thrilled large crowds with her delicate renditions of ballads and carols at The Advertiser - Carols by Candlelight evening in
Elder Park, Adelaide in 2001.Georgia has also been fortunate to have performed for the 'Novita Children's Services' on many occasions. These include 'Convoy For Kids' in 2004, 2005 and 2006, 'Hats Off' Mother's Day Afternoon Tea in 2002 and the 'Novita Children's Services (Crippled Childrens Association) Volunteer's Cocktail Party in the presence of good friend, Her Excellency Governor Marjorie Jackson-Nelson (Marj) in 2001.2008 sees Georgia continuing to write and record her own songs. She's set out to reach the top and will let no-one stop her from achieving her dream. In November 2006 Georgia has been able to walk on the ground and on her legs with just a little bit of help.
