Trace Canini

Trace Canini is an exception to every musical rule. Her passion, pure talent and adaptability, make her an invaluable asset to any musical endeavour. Known as ‘The Diva’ by her peers, she has the soul to rise to any occasion be it Jazz, Gospel, R& B or Rock, Trace performs with style and class. The reason? Trace’s life was immersed in entertainment in one form or another from a very young age. Trace commenced her career as a dancer at four years of age.

“I ‘fell in love’ with singing, it consumed my life and whilst I studied many instruments, (even though I am the master of none!) singing was my true love.” Since then Trace has sung with orchestras, touring shows, the rock mass with Sister Janet Mead, piano bars, the early morning clubs doing funk, R&B, big bands, recorded radio jingles, sung the National Anthem at events, theatre productions and on television. Trace has established herself as a respected, talented and extremely gracious artist.

Trace has been touring,as a special guest around Australia in 2008 with a highly acclaimed Elvis Gospel Show featuring Andy Seymour, doing select jazz performances with her outfit Trace Canini & The Smooth Meltdown and also performed at the end of 2007 in a world premiere with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra alongside James Morrison, Paulini and Doug Parkinson. “Soul singer Trace Canini's dark, husky voice was spellbinding in a smoky, laid-back jazz rendition of But Who May Abide.” (Review of the Gospel Messiah. - The Australian, December 2007). Trace has sung with the Harlem Gospel Choir and was also fortunate enough to performed gospel at the Cotton Club in Harlem. A highlight in her career was singing in a Hollywood's “The Coconut Teaser” Night club.

Trace loves performing and has developed a love of public speaking, talking about her passions – music and inspiring and motivating others. Her audience is drawn to her intense love and genuine passion of her craft.
