About Me

Born in Yokohama, Japan in 1983, and started playing classical piano at age 5. After I was converted to jazz, he entered the Senzoku Gakuen College of Music in Yokohama. Shortly after that, I started doing gigs in Tokyo and Yokohama area. I have shared the stage with such artists as Brian Lynch, Jim Pugh, Nicholas Payton and Dana Hanchard. My group won the Asakusa Jazz Competition in 2005. After winning a scholarship, I moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music in 2005. I won Piano Department Achievement Award in Spring 06. I also won the outstanding solist award at North Texas Jazz Festival in 2006. I studied with Allan Mallet, Danilo Perez, Hal Crook, Tiger Okoshi, Dave Santoro, David Fiuczynski and Greg Hopkins. I graduated Berklee in 2007, then moved to New Jersey and did gigs in New York. I studied with Kevin Hays in New York. Currently I live in Yokohama Japan, am doing gigs in Tokyo area.
