DJ Chords

DJ Chords was born on November the 24th in Plateau State Nigeria a couple of years ago and ever since then he has been ordained by heaven to be a music minister. His real name “David” came as a confirmation of what his purpose on earth is. Growing up in a family of four children, he discovered his passion for music but tried to run away from it and this he did successfully for a while. Painfully he lost his Dad in February 1998 and somewhere after then, he got convicted by Heaven to pursue the purpose for which he was created. This conviction came on a particlar evening when he sat down with the piano at a friends place and played for over forty five minutes without ever taking any piano lessons. He didn’t know what was happening until he looked back around him and discovered that it was more than just his friend and himself in the room. His friend’s sisters and mother had joined in and they were all in tears….. Worshiping God. He didn’t realise for how long he’d played until few days later when his friend’s sister told him that they had been in the room for over forty-five minutes. The Next week he joined the choir in his local church, Living Faith Winners Chapel, Osogbo, Osun State, where he fed and developed his talents, and also grew spiritually. By September 2000 he had ministered in countless number of churches, seminars, concerts,etc. The name “DJ CHORDS” was given to him by his friends and fellow musicians following the exceptional way by which he “manufactures” chords. By the year 2005, this exceptional multi instrumentalist, composer, singer and song writter had touched a lot of lives with his ministry, given birth to a lot of pianists and other instrumentalists and had served faithfully as the Music Director in places such as Winners Chapel, Osogbo, Osun State, Winners Chapel Ago Iwoye, Ogun State. He is currently the director of Dawu Onak Music World, Osun State Nigeria, with a branch in South-East London, United Kingdom, and the Choir Coordinator/Music Director of Church Ablaze Christian Centre London, where he is currently based.
