Yes, I’m that guy… Do you think I’d admit it if I wasn’t? Life’s too short to take yourself too seriously, and if you can't laugh at yourself, you better not laugh at anyone else. I laugh a lot. Some people think I’m funny, some people think I’m not. I think I have more than my share of funny-looking moments. I’ve been a professional music journalist for more than 15 years now. I say “professional music journalist,” because not only did I go to school to become a journalist, but I’ve made a living at it ever since. I love writing, and I consider it a blessing that I can get paid to do something I love. Even better? I get to write about something I love. On occasion, I’ve been accused of being a “fan.” Guilty as charged. If you’re not a music fan, you shouldn’t be in the music industry-It makes about as much sense as hating animals and becoming a veterinarian. On that note, I love animals and kids. I don’t expect everyone to like both, but if you don’t like one or the other, we probably won’t get along very well. In addition to writing, I also manage bands. Why manage? Because I’ve reached a point in my life where I’ve decided it would be a waste to not apply my enthusiasm and knowledge about music and the industry to help the bands and artists that I believe in… I'm serious when I need to be, but can also find humor in just about anything. That might offend some people, but that in itself amuses me. It's a vicious circle, I know.
