I'm James Davis (JIMBO), and I've had the pleasure of working with the AIA since year-end of 2006. I was approached like everyone else in an aspiring band: I was presented with the opportunity of allowing the AIA to serve us. First, we were approached about being a featured artist through the Los Angeles profile, which then resulted in a referral to The Indie Spot and our eventual interview with the Michael Zavala Radio Show in Texas. Therefore, we were being played through three different profiles in addition to ours, which is the whole point in the entertainment industry and business in general - EXPOSURE.In the AIA, a network is created through everyone's mutual desire to be heard, which creates a natural engine for everyone involved in music because the bands get their music out there, the engineers get their services in the face of the bands that need their services, which then leads to bands reaching their respective next steps - leading to the necessary contacts with venues, lawyers, management, promoters, radio stations and eventually labels - assuming that's in the band's interest.So, help us help you, and spread the word!
