I have been in the music industry now for as long as I can remember, both in administrative and creative capacities. The early days saw me shift from solo guitarist/vocalist, playing around various restaurants in Sydney, through to being the bass player in an all-girl Perth band. Over the years, I managed to teach myself a variety of instruments and can honestly say I have played more venues than I have had hot breakfasts.
As time went by, I became a personal manager in the pop and country fields and went on to produce albums and direct music video clips. During all of this, I began songwriting.
My first track "Angel Heart" was picked up by Kathy Howard of Republic Productions, a Sydney based music publisher headed by the cream of Australia's music industry. That song alone, led to the signing of a full blown publishing agreement. Tracks off the album proved very successful in Romania, France and Belgium.
At some point, I sidetracked into the world of filmmaking, whereby during the course of conversation, a strange turn of events brought me back to music...(did I ever leave!). The result of which, culminated in the writing of my book, PopStars & Idols the recipe for success.
My song "Restitution", which is the first track off my album ANGEL HEART, is the opening title track for the U.S. soap opera LEGACY HILL, viewable 24/7 on www.urscene.com on channel 1.
A portion of all my songs and CD's sold is donated to my other passion ANIMAL ANGELS ASSIST (www.../animalangelsassist) a special website dedicated to helping those who are helping animals.
More recently, I accepted with honour, the post of Australian rep for AIA (www.aiarocks.com), which is the Association of Independent Artists. The new site for us is www.myspace.com/aiadownunder
I am now working with other artists in my home town to promote their work.
