Sweet Rains Records Vision and Mission Statement A uniquely positioned music company, Sweet Rains Records is poised to become a highly profitable venture by leveraging its top notch production ability, a competitive advantage distribution system, strong long standing relationships with top promoters, and entrepreneurial street and book smart approach to the music recording, promotion, and distribution business. In the next three to five years, Sweet Rains records will grow rapidly by significantly adding to its existing highly talented, buzz worthy and commercially viable artist roster and launching new music into a highly competitive industry that is starving for innovative sounds. Sweet Rains is confident that in this process it will discover and uncover rare, noteworthy musical talents that come along once in a generation encompassing not just raw talent, but more importantly the guiding hand of music industry creative and business veterans that are the driving force behind Sweet Rains. Sweet Rains Productions is a team of experienced electronica/dance producers, songwriters and engineers based in New York City with numerous Billboard and radio hits. Formed in 2002 by Igor Kisil (a.k.a. Iggy) after the initiation of a recording project and the song with the same name. The talents of this international production team combine countless credits from music making with artists such as Cher, Amber, Brecker Bros, Circle of Power, Frank Zappa, Todd Terry, Tony Boston, New Line Cinema, Sony Music and many more. “Sweet Rains” is a songwriting/production/remixing team and a studio band featuring different variety of styles and directions in contemporary music. The first single “Slippin’ away” featuring guest singer Lenaure has been released in January 2004. with remixes by WKTU’s DJs Mike Rizzo and Johnny Vicious. The song quickly became an international anthem reaching Top 4 position in Billboard Club Charts and Top 3 in International Internet charts. Widely promoted for radio in US, “Slippin Away” was added by many stations from medium to heavy rotation. Newest original works are included Amber feat Sweet Rains "Melt With The Sun" ( JMCA records), Sweet Rains "Follow The Feeling" (Neutone Records) and D'Andre "Whatever" ( Sweet Rains Records) Sweet Rains has recently teamed up with FlowNY's David Patillo and has updated their recording/production facilities in SoHo, NYC.
Iggy was born and raised in Russia. While still in Moscow he began his work with music contributing his composing, song writing, keyboards playing, programming and production talent to a number of popular international recordings including work with Frank Zappa, Gorky Park, Stas Namin, Bravo, Phil Marriott just to name a few. Since1989 when Igor moved to the US he founded his own LA based record label, Red Sunset Productions that released several charting records including Circle Of Power album, with their hit song "Daddy" which charted for 25 weeks in Billboard. He has written, produced and mixed music for the network TV show Melrose Place and the New Line Cinema feature film “Little Odessa” (starring Maximillian Schell and Vanessa Redgrave). Igor has been nominated twice with a Billboard Magazine Certificate of Achievement Award for outstanding songwriting. In 2005 Sweet Rains signes a management deal with Neutone Records and puts together it's own label Sweet Rains Records .Please stay tuned for more info.
