Listening to German krautrock bands like Can, Neu, Amon Düül II, gave him a good grounding in sound crafting, mixing organic and electronic sound together. Then came Castle Morton Rave, the biggest free party the UK has ever seen, being exposed there to Spiral Tribe and Circus Warp, his love for Acid music grew.In 2000, he started working with Lawrence Ash and launched Fortress 5 Studio. This gave Judo the sound engineering and production experience he needed, often still in the studio working through the night on a tune until it was time for the next band to come in. Also having his first access to a pair of 12.10s he started Djing playing a weekly slot at a Cheltenham Club and soon honed down his Djing Skills. Judo went on to become a Bass Player for the Mystery School Ensemble (Artefact Records), based in London in 2002. After a year mixing and promoting parties as Unauthorized, Bristol (UK) he finally chose a sound that he couldn’t resist, hypnotic and experimental.
