Subject: DEX!: I AM 1 YR OLD ON MYSPACE MUSIC (PLEASE READ)

Hello fans, friends, lovers, well wishers, and haters,

Today makes it 365 days since I signed up on myspace music. I must say it's a step that have changed my life in so many ways, both for the good and otherwise.

It all started last year when a very good friend of mine and a record label personality, Vanessa Kay Woods, advised me to signup on myspace music as a way to establish for myself a huge and strong fan base. Then, I did.

The journey have been long and very worthwhile. During my 365 days on here, I have been able to meet more artistes from all around the world. From all genre of music, and more influential people in the music business. And, as well, established for myself a fan base that is every growing stronger by the day.

During this 365 days, moreover, I have met with the founders of the AIA. After which I was featured on the AIA-Los Angeles page. Where I got well over 1000 air-play in just 14days, a record that have not been beaten ever since, even though I was the first hip-hop artiste and first non-us resident to be featured on the AIA-Los Angeles page.

During this 365 days, I was able to hook up with Indepencemusic.net where my songs (Fronting and Let me know (remix)) stood on the number 1 and 2 spot for well over 4 weeks, and I was 1 hip-hop artiste for 1 week.. after which I stood on &035;2 for 2 weeks. Till date (after 5 months), my song (fronting), still stand on the top 10 hip-hop chart on Indepencemusic.net.

During this 365 days, I was chosen to review songs from artistes from the TV show MTV® Making The Band With P.Diddy. Artistes including Deffery P and Babs Bunny.

It was still during this 365 days that I was appointed as the Representative of the AIA (Association of Independent Artiste) for the entire continent of Africa. Click here to learn more about the AIA and AIA-Africa.

During this 365 days, I have also met with artistes all around the world that I am working with on production deal and other music related deals.

And it was still during this 365 days that I had series of problems with my girlfriend cos of my myspace page, which eventually lead to our breakup.

I tell you people.. I look back on my life.. I see how much I have changed.. I see how far I have come..I see where it has brought me from... I look to the heavens.. and I go on my knees to thank God for blessing me this much. I am so grateful to all of you that have stood by me.. All of you that I have believed in me.. All of you that have strengthened me.. All of you that have inspired and motivated me..

SPECIAL THANKS

Vanessa Kay Woods

Bruce Saint (AIA)

Derek Amato (AIA)

I have more news to disclose very soon. Stay with me as we change our world. Once again, thank you so much for sticking with me through my journey so far..

Subject: DEX!: I BE 1 YR OLD ON MYSPACE MUSIC BY MONDAY (JULY 16th)

Hello Fans and Loved ones,

Wow, Just like yesterday when it all started. It all looked like some sorta child's play when I signed up on Myspace Music... now see where it brought me.

I looked at my profile today and it shocked me when I saw that it's been about a year since I have been on myspace... doing my own thing in my own little way.

My heart is filled with joy as I reminisce on all the great oportunities my myspace music page have given me... all the great friends I have made... dedicated fans I have acquired, network connections I have created, and of course... troubles I have gotten into... (For those who knows what I mean)... all from my myspace music page.

I think I should throw out something special on my "lil' anniversary"... What do you think? Dunno what special thing to do... but will think of something before the end of the day and let y'all know how it's gon' be.

Oh... I must not forget. A very special thanx to Miss Vanessa Kay Woods... and Miss Anonymous for making such a wonderful impact in my life. And those that chose to hate, thanx for hating... for you made me try harder.

Leave me a comment y'all.

Plenty love,

DEX!

Subject: I'm thinking

Hello beloved fans,

I have been seriously thinking about the progress of my empire. Yesterday, I was speaking with a friend of mine that own a clothing company as myself. We were discussing generally, and we spoke about my proposed record company. That brought us to the name Dexter Records.

I do think there is a need to change that name. We both thought the name is a bit too personalized. What do you think people? You are my family. Tell me what you think of this.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

DEX!

Subject: I'm thinking

Hello fans,

Since myspace now give the chance of having up to 5 songs on artistes' standalone player, I think I should have a 5th song on my music player too, ya dig?

So, I am thinking it's gonna be cool if I bring back my song "HOLD ON" back to my standalone player. What do you think? I will have this song playing on my page pending the time I am done recording my new set of joints.

I will appreciate suggestions from those of you that have heard that song on my page before.

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend and the holiday.

Subject: About my cellphone number

Esteemed Fans,

Though I did mention in my last bulletin post about the robbery that my cellphone was stolen too, I forgot to state particularly that my cellphone number will be unreachable. So, all of you calling me and calls diverted to voicemail, please, do not call my cell any longer cos I don't have it anymore. I truly regret the inconvenience.

Therefore, to all it may concern, my cellphone number is cancelled. I will not retrieve the number back cos it's too much stress, I will rather purchase a new cellphone number. So, all of you calling me and calls diverted to voicemail, please, do not call my cell any longer cos I don't have it anymore. I truly regret the inconvenience. I will let you know as soon as I get a new cellphone number.

Pending the time I will get that done, you can reach me on my house phone. My house phone number is 234-2-751-0751. Remember to include your country's dial-out code when calling me from outside Nigeria. I have removed the cellphone number from my page.

We will be back on our feet family, that is a promise, and it shall be very soon. Stay true to yourself. Once again, all the people working with me and with Dexter Production, this is only a setback, it will not stop us.

Have a graceful weekend everyone.

Subject: HEADLINE NEWS: DEX! GOT ROBBED

Dearest Fans and friends,

This is DEX!. Yes, the story is true. Last weds'day at about 8:30pm, as I was parking my car in the house after going out to get somethingt to eat, I got followed in by a gang of 3 armed men. They had me open the door for them and took money and belongings.

Belongings stolen includes 2 notebook computers (which include the one I use for my beat-making, mixing, and all music-related works), 2 cell phones, wrist watch, and few bulks.

The point I want to bring out here is that, even though I thank God so very much that neither myself nor my elder brother that was home when it happened was shot, my notebook book that I use for my studio is gone!!

Remember I said I was going into the studio very soon? Well, that will definitely be suspended till further notice. And the new set of beats that I said I was putting on my page, that is suspended for now too. This truly sadden me, but I must count my blessings and still be grateful that I am alive and breathing.

Fans, this is not the end of Dex!...far from it. It is my custom to always make a "backup CD" every once in a while. So, about 7weeks ago, I copied every information on my PC onto a CD-R for storage... that means all the beats, songs, and datas I had before 7 weeks ago, I still have them. Even though I might have to start mixing the songs all over again, and tweaking the beats all over again, they are not lost!

So, all my business partners and persons recording with me, buying/leasing my beats, or requesting my songs, I still have access to my songs. But I need some time to recover from this great loss.... need time to gather money to buy all the lost equipments back.

I am still alive everyone. Thank you for reading my sad story. I will be back on my feet and shall let y'all know when the time arrives to smoke a little "dexium".

Subject: iKay and GyNISS

I wanna also bring to your awareness my 2 new additions to the DEXTER family. These are, my homeboy iKay and the angel voice GyNISS.

iKay is a rapper I have been developing for almost 3 years now. I believe he is getting ripe enough to be brought forward to you to review. You would've heard his voice in a few of my songs such as "HOLD ON" and "FRONTING" (the hook part). iKay will be on my next song, "BACKDOWN", I am working on a collabo with him too. His song will be coming up soon, so is his myspace page.

GyNISS is just 2 months old in my 'classroom'. I have been working tirelessly to make her into what you can really enjoy. She is a singer, a great singer with an outstanding voice. When you contemplate GyNISS' voice, think Shakira's voice. She is on the forth coming song I will be having on my page in a couple of days, the song titled "LISTEN TO UR HEART (REMIX)". She will also be recording a collabo with me titled "OUR LIFE". GyNISS' solo song and photos will be up soon, so is her myspace page.

More details about iKay and GyNISS will be made available on my page soon. So stay tuned!

Subject: MY MAKEOVER

Based on the person I am, I have decided to take you, my fans, along with me in everything I do. But this has to be mutual. I need you to walk with me as well in my journey to the top.

I have decided to let you know first anything I will be doing, so you can give your suggestions or opinion regarding it. Before I do anything, I will have it posted on the bulletin board for you to look at my plans first. So, check the bulletin board here regularly to get the latest news, gists, and updates.

Right now, I am thinking I should change my look. I have done it a few times this year, and I wanna do it again. I wanna grow my hair instead of shaving it bald, what do you think? But I am kinda confused if I should just let it grow low and give it a nice trim and friction at the edges, or blow it into an Afro (just like my baby girl...lol). Let me know what you think on this please.

And whatever i eventually decide upon based on your opinions, I will let you know. Also, I will put a photo of me with my hair grown below this bulletin later on today (monday).

Have a great week everyone, and don't work too hard.....like I do...ha ha ha..

The hype's so smooth, c'mon slide with me
It's no deception, it's pure intelligence

Song title: FRONTING

Verse 1:

I thought I told you from the start: "stop fronting on me"
Leave me, Lemme be, stop the fussing on me
It's your choice you left me, why dem cursin' on me
D E X! will never lose, so don't be fronting honey
If you wanna play around, I suggest you go your way
But if you wanna stay around, better not be carried away
I can't lie, I like what you gat in your thigh
But can't die cos I want a piece of your pie
You were a chick from the ghetto at the time we first start
Not only give you the dough...I pulled you close to my heart
Now, you're running the street
talking this, talking that
And I caught you in your sh*t
screwing men behind my back
I ain't tripped, YEAH!
I gasta drink to that
Now you're broke in the hood while I'm getting paid for this track
Can't blame me for your slack, why you wanna snitch me
Don't be painting me black, cos I know you wanna reach me

CHORUS:

Girl, I want to know what's up with you and me
See, if you ain't gat my time, lemme know and stop fronting on me

Tell me why you left me
when you know you ain't getting none like me
Ooh baby, why're you turning back to me
tell me, ooh baby

Verse 2:

I'm rapping this song cos I've been watching dem ladies pretend for so long
Screw your men behind your back
and still be acting like a saint
No disrespect on this track, just check the picture I paint
They'll be saying: "men are dog, they can't have their pants on"
That makes them a b*tch cos they don't have one
Not talking general now
Of course, there are exceptions
If they don't be sleeping around, they're gon' be fronting
Y'all know what they want, acting like they don't want to
They'll be tripping for you, acting like they don't want you
Don't be fronting on me, Dam! I'm past that level
If you wanna stay gurl, you're welcomed right here
But if you wanna go, then, you have a nice day
You'll be fronting for respect, but for me that's not the case
No hard to get, I ain't gat time to waste
If you're crushing on me
You gatta lemme know on time, Lemme know your mind

***CHORUS***

Verse 3:

You know the boy ain't no player, I've got respect for dem ladies
Not just to sleep with you, I want a wife and a baby
I've been staring at you all along in the room
I can't picture myself as nothing else but your groom
But all criteria, you're a wife material
I'm the real McCoy, I know you're wanting this boy
So, don't be acting like you don't be wanting me too
I know how ladies do
I know how to handle you
Let's trade places
You be me, and I be you
You woulda made the first move ever since I saw you
So, wat's this fronting for? Why're you acting like that?
I know you've been there before, but I ain't down like that
So, if I ask your name, and "can we hook up someday"
Or I propose a day, mami what would you say?
Would you be like: "Hummm...woulda loved to, but NO"
Or: "It's a pleasure to do that papi, c'mon let's go"

***CHORUS***

Song title: LET ME KNOW REMIX

Hook:

Male:
You're my perfect girl cos you feel so right
Can't take my eyes off since you caught my sight
And the way you move that body, wanna hold you tight
Just tell me what you want and I ma treat you right

Female:
I want a perfect love that's one of a kind
You gotta search deep down cos it's hard to find
Show me what you got cos my love is blind

Male:
Quit playing like that ma'a, lemme know your mind

Verse 1:

Male:
Hello miss, my name is Dex!
I'm not a player or Pimp but I can tell you're next
I've been staring at you for like 2 hours now
I wanna say wat's up, and let you see how I get down

Female:
I know wat you want is between my legs
But I'm not your kinda girl cos I use my head

Male:
Why d'you say wat you said? I just asked your name
I might be from the street, but I use my brain

female:
I know alot of girls don't act like me
Not down for games. If you know what I mean

Male:
For a fact, I know your type, and I love your style
I can give you wat you want, just gon' take a while

female:
That's not the same cos I recognize games

Male:
Don't judge me by my cover cos I'm riding rims
Nothing I can't touch, but my hands are clean

Female:
So why d'you choose me?

Male:
Cos I can see from your eyes that..........

***HOOK***

Verse 2:

Male:
Hundred thousand just to shop if you wanna
Take a trip to miami, baby wherever
Anything that you want, mami I gacha
I can be your Shrek, be my Fiona

Female:
I think I like that, let's do our thing
in the park, when it's dark in the 4x4 range
Fill me with love like you never did before
Do it so good n make me ask for more

Male:
No problem with that, I'm the master of my game
Like the modern-day cupid, your heart is my aim
Like I said in my rhyme before the 'ex! was here'
"I have a heart big enough for every lady to share"

Female:
I'm just another girl in your stupid street games?

Male:
Naah, Like a love dragon, you lit up my brain

Female:
Save me the flattery cos that's another lie

Male:
No tricks or gimmicks girl I'm your kinda guy and...

***HOOK***

Verse 3:

Female:
All men are the same, hit and run is your game
And don't tell me you're different with all dem lies
about what you gon' do if I let you be my man
You're saying all that just to get in my pant

Male:
Stop thinking that you know, hear me out at least
I ain't the one to use you, I'm a man not a beast
I want a wife for life, not a by-gone
I'm be Yang, be my Yin, let's be that strong

Female:
So what?

Male:
Now what?

Female:
Want me to let you in?
Play Cinderella in her sweet sixteen?

Male:
Or Bonnie and Clyde, if you know wat I mean
Million dollar yatch, let's be doing our thing

Female:
That easy?

Male:
That easy

Female:
You're serious?

Male:
Fo' shizzie

Female:
You're winning my heart, but can't go for that

Male:
If you want me girl, I ma give you the world
But if you're fronting like that, you're confusing me girl

Bridge:
Let me know your mind
I ain't gat no time to waste, you gatta let it out

Wat's your name mami, so wat's your game mami.....HEY!! 2x

Song title: LORD YOU KNOW

Verse 1:

Black to the bone, I was born in the 80s
Ascending my throne, block's hot like hades
So much confusion I'd to find a way out
Determined to make it, I'm a soldier no doubt
Me and pops never been in good terms
Can't believe myself, a grown man with no dimes
In the kitchen momma fixing us rice with some curry and thyme
Gasto make sumtin of my own, so I started to rhyme
Looked out for record deal so maybe I'd shine
That's messed up too, maybe it wasn't my time
Rolled with some bad ass brothas that brought me into the street
Duplicate bankcards, that got me sumtin to eat
I was a don on my own cos I gat it going on
Now I'm back on my throne, and my click is getting strong
I'm a genius man, this' not wat I'm about
I wanna get serious man, I wanna get out

Chorus:

Lord you know all the struggles that I've been through
Even though I've strayed so far from you
And I feel remorse for all dem things I do
Lord you know, yes you know

Lord you know all the struggles that I've been through
When I was young, so lost, tryna find a clue
I turned to the sky and I cried to you
Lord you know, yes you know

Verse 2:

Though the money pouring in
Hustling ain't a pretty thing
Yeah I know, you'll see the respect, and some other ugly scene
A cool hommie I be, alot of trouble I see
Get outta the block and break free, why much beefing on me?
Don't smoke, never had a remington
Arrest free, misdemeanor or felony
Only out for the money, the game is full of phonnies
The block is all about shooting, the streets' stained with killing
My bone is hurting man, I can't be a part of this shit
How many days more do I have to be on the street?
My lady telling me; "hang on"
She say, "help is coming Dex!, trying to survive is not all about running"
If help is coming, Dam it's taking too long
She said; "A fighter you are Dex!, you gatta stay strong"
Yea, a soldier I am Kim, that's why I'm holding on.
"but not to the game, you gasta right your wrong"

***CHORUS***

Verse 3:

If you're not in my shoes, you better not try to judge me
I had no choice of what to do, so don't try to judge
Yea, I hate my past
But gimme another chance I'll still do wat I did
Nobody to help me, and I was just a little kid
No cash in my pocket, No shoes on my feet
No clothes on my back, Had to food to eat
Then I turned to my music to pull me outta the scene
Guess how long it's been
One? Two year?
It's five long years
Living is hard and I'm striving to survive
Nobody giving me shit, so I gatta work for myself
Torn and frustrated, threw my rhymes on the shelf
Bounced to the street, spread my arms to the game
A new field for my wit, and got myself a new name
But somehow along the line, I revived my dreams
I refined myself, redefined my life
From zero to plat'num, from dirt to diamond
Now alot of you cats wanna be seen with me
Cos my chrome is spinning, and my jewels are shining
I hope you now see why I rhyme for the street
Cos they offered me help when I was stuck in my shit
They lit up my path when my world was dark
So don't criticize me cos you're not me man
And don't blame me if you never helped me man

Bridge:

So many nights on my bed I cry
Day-to-day, striving hard to get by
I never want the kinda life i lived
All the while a young brotha tryna make ends meet

Anywhere you want I'll go
And lord you know......

***CHORUS*** 3x
