Having only been home for less than a year after serving 7 years in prison for a armed home invasion charge that he caught back in 2000, the Orlando, FL bred rapper, “Hooligan-X†is well on his way to becoming an industry powerhouse. Hooligan-X’s roots in the hip-hop culture are planted deep. Hooligan-X’s recording debut was a show stealing verse on “O.F.F.â€, an independently released compilation of local artists in the Orlando area. His reputation as a local heavy weight on the local music scene was growing rapidly yet despite his growing notoriety for being an elite rapper, his notoriety for being a vicious armed robber was growing at an even faster pace. His hunger for fast money would ultimately earn Hooligan-X a 7 year prison sentence.
The day he was sentenced proved to be the single most pivotal moment in his life. Shut off from the outside world, Hooligan-X dove into his music head first, writing daily, honing his skills & perfecting his craft. He worked diligently, experimenting with different styles & flows in order to create an identity of his own in an industry oversaturated with artists who seem content to follow each others formulas. Having won every prison talent show he entered & destroying countless competitors on the rec. yard, Hooligan-X became a legend through out the Florida prison system & finally decided that he was going to give up the streets & dedicate himself entirely to his music.
Now, less than a year out of prison he has already flooded the streets of Houston as well as Orlando & the Tampa area with his self financed & highly regarded debut album “X’d OUT vol. 1â€. He has done shows for StoneJam Ent. In Bryan, TX as well as opened for ‘Lil Keke’ in Brenham, TX & he is well on his way towards the success that he is worthy of.
