Entertainment was always a form of passing time until performers such as court jesters earned a living entertaining the upper class by parading their talents. The revolution in the entertainment industry didn’t happen until 1876 when Alexander graham bell made the first telephone call. Followed by, Thomas Edison a year later with the first phonograph recording. Then 10 years later the first film hit the screen. This was the birth era of mass media. Over the years, we have seen vinyl records, film, the television, 8 track tapes, cassettes, VHS Tapes, laser disc, the internet, Compact disc, DVD, Ipods, what’s next?

One thing we do know is there are more media outlets worldwide than people.
