Smoothshit Radio Show's StorySmoothshit Radio Show was born in March 2001 on an underground parisian radio named Fréquence Paris Pluriel, F.P.P., broadcasted on 106.3 FM.
Scheduled @ 1.30 am every saturday nights for 90 minutes, Smoothshit offers a panorama of the U.S. rap scene from the east to the west, which brang it its uniqueness since its beginnings. Smoothshit Radio Show has been the first and only show on the Parisian, French and even European FM band to showcase what’s commonly known as Westcoast, Dirty South, and let’s not forget about the Middwest.
Broadcasting since 2001 recently successful rappers such as Lil Jon, T.I., UGK, Three 6 Mafia, Twista, David Banner or E-40 just to name a few, Smoothshit Radio Show stays ahead of its time above other radio shows who read numbers instead of listening to the music, its host, mixer and producer, Smooth Operateur, acting like a passionate fan contrary to the snobbish usual DJ persona who is waiting for the labels to send him their records.
Nevertheless closed-minded on the underground, some of Smoothshit Radio Show’s favorite artists are worldwide stars like Snoop Dogg, 2Pac, Outkast and Bone Thugs, even though the crate-diggin ethic has always been here, searching beyond and further in the underground, yesterday’s classics as tomorrow’s bangers: from C-Bo to Tech N9ne, from Pastor Troy to Dirty, Smoothshit Radio Show dares to believe in pure talent. Smoothshit motherfuckers, first on real rap since 2001 !!!!!
