Life, love, and laughter ... I feel that we live to love. And love to live. What is life without love, new fresh breaths' of life, and laughter? Empty. Or so I would think. I don't have the balls, nor the interest, in finding out. ((((( Interests: ))))) Music Supervision, directing, conducting, writing scripts, a cure for ignorance, playing records with friends, gathering as much info as I can on stem cell research and diabetes, and any place on this earth with a view of massive sky space full of various versions of blankets of stars. Designing; everything from accessories to clothing to logo's to mixers, stylis', and next up: the STJ headphones series (seriously, all u DJ's will love these if any of you know of the "re-inforced" code I've been working with/on*. Anyway ... those are just some of my interests.
Fellow Music Sluts are ALWAYS welcomed. As are people who are easy to get along with; and I welcome peeps who love to go deep into mental session over topics such as: politics, religion, science, the mental revolution [that mankind seems to be progressing through right now], just how fu*ed up this world really is! - and what we CAN do about it. Even if it is amoungst ourselves. Chilled, layed-back, knowledge-exhanging kinda personality's are always more than welcomed as well. No Hata's need apply. But I appreciate you tryin'. Thank you.
Come on now, are you serious? Jazz is the tree. Soul is the foundation in which it's roots cling to firmly. Without the two I don't know where I would be in my world. I'm a relentless beat junkie that is hopelessly addicted to the high of a great rhythm. Some say I'm a music lover - I say I'm a Slut de Musique, *wink* and proud of it. Music love ranges from Funk, Rock, Soul, R&B, House, Jungle, Reggae/Dancehall, Dub, Swing, Big Band Orchestras from 1920's - 1960's, Blues, Breakbeats, D&B, Soulful Techno (Gaitano!!), All Latin Jazz, Down-Tempo, and so many other genre's that it just gets mind-numbing.
Also too many of them .... Current Fav: Motorcycle Diaries Permanant Favorities: High Fidelity, Ray, The Rose, Fight Club, Amadeus, Snatch, Star Wars, Return of the Jedi, Empire Strikes Back, Y Tu Mama Tambien, The Joy Luck Club, Matrix. I love Kung Fu movies, and came up on watching them every sunday afternoon. Enter The Dragon and Fists of Legends are still, to this day, two of my all-time fav's (though Wong Fei Hung series are slowly working their way into my nitch too). Drunken Master is a must, all Bruce Lee movies are a right of passage (I thought he was The Man growin up!), and has anyone here seen Mad Monkey?
JUST SAY "NO"!!! Too much T.V. will rot and DAMAGE your imagination!!! Listen to more music, or read! Reading feeds your head much more than TV could. Though I'll admit *hangs head*, I'm hopelessly addicted to Entourage & E.R.
Many of them. My favorite being Encyclopedia's, Fiction, some non-fiction, autobiographies, and other random flight material.Currently reading: "Devil In The White City" and "Contesting Castro" by Thomas G. Paterson (a very intereting look at the relationship between him and Che is in there), and Angels and Demons.Always Reading: "All You Need To Know About The Music Business" by Donald S. Passman (if u'r in music-don't get screwed! READ THIS BOOK!!).
My mother and my son ...
