After going back to college for court reporting, I decided it was time for a change. My family and I moved to South Florida from San Antonio, Texas so I could start working as a court reporter. I feel privileged to have gotten such an awesome opportunity to work in criminal court and be assigned to an awesome judge and staff as well as being able to experience working in a multiple defendant, high-profile murder trial that involved extensive national media attention. This experience will help me in the long run. Since I missed the most important people that I love in my life (and the Mexican food), I decided to move back to Texas. I truly regret leaving my courtroom. I miss the new friends I made in Florida. Currently, I am working on bookkeeping from home for my mother's business. Recently, I went back to South Florida temporarily to work for a new court reporting company doing civil proceedings. My goal is to take my Registered Professional Reporter(RPR)exam and hopefully get back into court permanently one day. I am happily married to a great husband who is also a great dad. Our time together has been a great 15 years. We've had our ups and downs like in any relationship but we've made it this far. We also have three beautiful daughters and a son who is unique and intelligent. Life isn't always a bowl of cherries but we try to live it to the fullest.
