Les Femmes de la Nuit is a unique all-female DJ rendezvous every month. DJ/promoter Gracie Chavez took over Femmes, founded by Houston's own Little Martin (rent), after the first ladies-only lineup at the end of 2004, which warranted encore performances. DJing and hosting along with Jessica Lozano and Jessica Partin, the team brings a stellar lady DJ and vocalist lineup monthly at Dean's Credit Clothing (Downtown). Each month, as word of mouth spreads, the lounge fills up a bit more. Men and women alike can look forward to this event as one of the few places to check out fresh, new talent. The grass roots ethos of Femmes de la Nuit is evolving into an important part of what it means to be a female DJ, artist, and vocalist in Houston.
