Soul remedy Soundsystem, playing Jah music in a UK tradition
Soul Remedy soundsystem started some 15 years ago just as me, playing records in a local bar during the week-ends. Some time later I was offered a spot on Radio Scorpio, a local radio station, where I had a show for several years called Roots and Culture. During that time I was frequently asked to play at parties in my hometown under the name Dread Pressure. It started to grow from there and whilst doing this, I met Ashanti 3000, who invited me to play alongside him throughout the country.
The decision to build a soundsystem was taken a long time ago…..when I saw The Mighty Zuluwarrior Jah Shaka play in England.This was the first time I saw a real soundsystem and knew then and there I had to build one someday…Three years ago, my brother and I decided it was time to really go for it and now it’s there…
Now the next chapter begins: Soul Remedy Soundsystem, reggae music for the heart, mind and soul…
