ROOTS SOUND SYSTEMS DOCUMENTARY: "self-tought"This is a documentary about sound systems and dem conditions of existence ina UK, Europe and further. A first edition has been made for a first project but now it has to be reworked to be shown properly. I&I give thanx to all these Ras who shared time and knowledge in front of an annoying questionning sista & her video camera! ;-)As the title has to resume +/- 40 minutes of filming, let me explain it: "self-TAUGHT" means a taught to oneself (or by oneself)without the aid of a formal education, it is learning by oneself. But to do so, you need to THINK! Do you get it? "self-taught"--"self-tought" The best way is to watch it and be a likkle bit more patient before it get finished.My personal & critical opinion is: conscious contents, could be better the filming & the sound quality, but I the woman has a very good editor and it is traduced also in french!(hope in a close future in italian, german, chines, etc)NEXT PROJECT: Jails for foreigners ina Belgium and maybe further around. We are living in a modern middle age where freedom still depends on the place we are born (but not only). Colonisation is not yet finished, your historical books dont tell only truths. In these jails, people are considered worse than criminals...let's turn the lens ova these bigg walls we are building against our own humanity (if we can still speak about that!)
