I originaly started chanting in my bedroom from about 15 years old and recording with one of those crude little cassette recorders with a little mic in it and then put together a rough little system with wires everywhere a microphone an echo unit. Most man had a little system in their yard but brethrin Stix had a soundsystem in his yard and I would chant on his set and try to sing and then chant in some blues ect.
Altho born in London I grew up in the Black Tom area of Bedford from around 3 years old and attended Clapham Road School, infants and junior school, big shout to all Clapham Road School Massives. School was something I hated and I didnt realy learn much and basicaly came out of school with nothing, a dunce.
The first time I probably start to hear sound system was I think 1977 when I was around 14, the queens jubilee when Ital Rockers set up their sound in Gladstone Street in Black Tom area. Ital Rockers was one serious sound which came out of Black Tom with man like Jimmy Ranks, Clem, Morris Lee, Tony McNight, Tony Paul, Pricey(cant remember his first name right now). Ital Rockers later became 'Mabraks' or Mabrakka and continued to be a ruff sound and used to play a lot in the local club 'Mill Street'. Another sound was Quaker Tone with Ho Jo, Patrick, Willi, Jeffrey and others I cant remember, Jacob Naphty was with them for a while but became Malachi member, Quaker Tone became Ghetto Love run by Hector Selector(hojo's younger brother).
So in 1979, leaving school and just moving with the same crew as we were moving at school, weed hustlings and music. My brethrins were building a sound which became 'Malachi Rastanational(The Last Messenger)', Malachi was Neita Dread(later Cultural Roots Sound), Neita Dread was like the technishan, Dan Man(Godfrey Dan)(R.I.P) at the control tower, usualy Gary Judah selecting, Jacob Naphty, Colin Zebby and Bongo on the mic and steppin. Others who would come in a while like Scotty(Jnr from leeds, called scotty or scotland thru where he came from), Idren Natural from Coventry. Malachi had a minibuss and used to move around as a crew in this minibis. A Minibuss of Rasta.
The heartbeat at these times was 'Mill Street', which was a club set up for the black youth of the town but in some ways was more of a Rasta club. It was an unused church of which we used the back so the entrance we used was the 'Ram Yard' entrance. Bacically it was in town centre and is still there today but is now a night club called 'The Mission'. Mill street was the centre, and dances were held in there, band rehersals(like Tarishi out of where Dread & Fred were to come)and also had the 12 Tribes of Israel come there around 1980 ish, and that was something else. Many became members and some live in Ethiopia now like Neville Judah who along with Larry Brown(R.I.P) used to more orless run it. Generaly you would pass thru Mill Street daily and usualy more than once it was HQ. Maybe even someone might read this and remember those times and passing thru Mill Street also the Clapham Road Dread House..
I linked with Blakamix in the early 80's and we became brethrin eversince. this is befor they say Blakamix. When Blakamix passed his test and got his first car, a blue cortina, we started reaching out to dances, it was a good time taking in sounds and live shows. What I learn about Blakamix is he is if his mind is set then he is set, when he first say to me he was going to build a studio, I say yeh, me to, while playin him some King Tubby dubs but he was true to his word, and I see it from a seed to where it take root to a solid foundatuion. I remember when Blakamix built a little spring reverb and we plugged a mic into it and wired this into his mums gram in their front room, we were youths but this is all part of the roots of Blakamix Int'l. I sing in the original Blakamix studio, originaly, songs like 'Every Where I Go' and 'A Weh dem A Go Do' and more that will never ever see the light of day but are foundation. When the time came to release his first tunes around 1986 it was mine, a song called 'Dont Rush Me' by Reuben. I carried on doing vocals with Blakamix and done tunes like '(Ease Up)Mr Money Man' and also its my voice saying 'Fresh From The Vaults Of the Blakamix studio Comes...' on the track 'Imperial Dub'.
I have also recorded with Alpha & Omega and a track is on the 'Trample The Eagle & The Dragon & The Bear' album.
Also recorded with 'Apocalypse Dub Faction' and 'Flow Production', one of them songs is featured on this page. Other producers I have recorded for are 'Stout System', Jacin and some others I cant think of right now.

From way back when we were youths we used to reason, it was like a natural thing to reason so coming out of school we would reason about Life about Scriptures, Prophecies, the Apocrypha, the books of Enoch, the Pope, Babylon, Zion, Haile Selassie, Peace, War and my brethrin said 'you think this is anything?, the time to come will be DREAD,. I'm talking all 25 years ago and then you wouldnt think things could have get worse. Sugar Minnott said 'Babylon A Put On The Pressure' and he werent lieing.
Now we are living in a time of Pressure, in a difrent way again. When I was growing up I see them marching saying NO Nuclear Bombs, now they have these weapons that them people said we dont want. Still generaly the people dont want no war but those who run things have a difrent agenda. The people running things from then till now(bloodlines).
Now it's a time of con-fusion when they try to make us be-lie-ve all diferent things as truth, the internet helps with this flow of infomation and opinnions just as this is my opinnion. And times are Dreader than Dread and it's like living on the edge.
It seems to be illusions to keep us mentaly enslaved and the sheeple blindly follow and make the illusion a reality so things have greater or lesser value, in all this, life starts to become of lesser value and people start to live backwards(evil).
