Had This Been An Actual Emergency, There Would Have Been More Chocolate.

About Me

Exhibit A, one author of the urban/contemporary/modern fantasy and/or magical realism (or whatever they're calling it this week) genre. Given to flights of fancy, occasional morbid humor, and a divine love for garage sales, pasta, and good coffee.
Novels can be found at Faire-Folk Books .
Periods of occasional musical aptitude are at Celtic -- NOT!
Coffee and pasta, sadly, not provided.

My Interests

Many and varied, including literary pursuits (both reading and writing), game-like pursuits (tabletop, PC, and board), artistic pursuits (costuming, drawing, and anything else that catches my eye), Renaissance Faires/Festivals, and the all-important adoration of my cats.

I'd like to meet:

Persons of Exhibit B, who can carry on a intelligent conversation... and can also appreciate aforementioned pasta and good coffee.
I occasionally remove comments with large graphics to optimize loading time. Please don't take offense if yours is among them.

Music:

Often I pick something that would work as a nice soundtrack to whatever I'm writing. I favor indy bands, but not exclusively.

Television:

I take great delight in informing the Comcast personnel that I do not want their Deluxe Extra-Cool Cable Package, as I do not own a TV. Yes, I know TVs are very affordable at Best Buy. No, I still don't want one. Have a nice day.

Books:

Some favorites are listed in:

Heroes:

Anyone who works to make the world a better place.

Why do so many of us put on far too many clothes, subject ourselves to every evil (and beauty) the weather can throw at us, walk around in (usually crappy) footwear for ten hours straight... and give ...

Weekend Six

So - a really mixed weekend. The good parts were really awesome, and the bad stuff sucked rocks. Which is why it's taken me so long to post, because I really wanted to avoid turning this into a whiney...

Pirates: 1 - Hate Preachers: 0

I got this from Matt's LJ and it was just way too good to not spread. Seriously. And it utterly puts to rest the question of whether pirates or ninjas are cooler. Pirates, clearly (as if there was dou...
