Your face in two dimensions There, Yes there… Laying down like a carpet where I splash in to secret passages, to those other places, to some other time, to new sounds I never heard of. (I just listen the voices of mistery gossiping about the pump of your heart)- Your s..(mile) (challenging likelihood) There…yes, there Crimson mouth and lips, crowned by the goddess of beauty. The expression of continuous browsing, the holy grail of thermal molecules, lost in seas of fragrances. In a wore jacket over a chair In your sweated T-shirt during those hot, long summers- And while your eyes see nowhere, I fade away within the lines of a geometrical world. Im a ghost, a shadow, a lost feeling, the past rowing in a silent boat- Drifting…drifting…somewhere And while I drift I still, Feel, The green , The red The violet The white Endless rainbow of your path.- Does it the past lives somewhere else besides inside our memories, our perceptions?

This is a cybercollaboration with a great artist, a contemporary poet who is also an incredible videoartist, his pseudonym its JanvierLun and he prefers to maintain himself under that pseudonym. Besides being a great artist he has a great human quality. We both are artists who do not seek for show business but to have fun, create and express ourselves. This is the first of a series of collaborations we have going on where Janvier added his background poetry between memories to my song and poetry and also added amazing video images related to the issue of the perception of past, life, loves...time flow...The great result shown here is product of the effort and dedication of himself and his team and my full gratitude, acknowledgment and recognition goes to them. This work and others, were submitted to several museums of contemporary arts and art places in the northern hemisphere by Janvier. Im quite happy about the final result of this collaboration that created what you can see and listen here. The judgment its up to you my friends...Hope you like it.2 -Ed Wilcox, Zack Kouns, and Gonza- The Humans and the future...options...choices "

We had a lot of fun doing this jam sesion with music and poetry and visual arts in Sala Zitarrosa last year. We are always in contact and we toured recently with Ed the US in Novemeber 2007. We met great people like J and D in Georgia, I and C in Florida, people from StL and also from Miami. In this ocassion the tour was with Eric, Jeff and Mike as well (Eric and Jeff are also listed among friends). Unfortunately we didnt record our shows but we were pleased with the result that of course can always be improved, but had a lot of fun. I have more songs played by us that might post in the future, some sort of Fripp/Eno that can go into San Francisco sound and also quite lyrical stuff like Darnauchans, Dylan or Drake.

I just posted another song named The Humans and the future...options...choices. It was also played with Ed and Zack and the last singing main vocals are from Ed and background from myself. Its a song about choices we have regarding how we behave in the collective and individuals. I would say its destructured folk ballad in jazz style. I made a layer or wall of of guitars talking melodically to each other and that is destroyed in part by upcoming melodies, so its some sort of techno folk jazz, I would say...:) It ends up with some sort of pray to the unknown...Here there is a link to a review made by an art critique of our show. He was obviously very nice and we are quite grateful. Their online art journal (in spanish) its quite good as well and I follow it regularly as well Just in case you are interested here its the review of our show in which we had a lot of fun...We are always thankful to the people from Sala Zitarrosa and Intendencia, great people indeed

3 - Poor little girl Lyrics: AM Music Composed and performed - Gonza"

The lyrics of this song are from AM (listed as Ailes among friends), an emotive and enthusiastic young female friend, who loves to write poetry. As we both like poetry, I dont remember exactly when, we emailed about putting some music to one of her poetries and we both picked this one, named poor little girl.

I liked the fact that showed something that in occasions might be difficult to understand for us, males...Love, un love and pain, through the perspective of a female, taking into account the prevalent ideas in society, expectations and dreams since being little girls... This time is just myself and guitar though the chords vary from flamenco and indie styles to folk, yielding a melody that is backed up sometimes with strange chords and other times quite common folkie/flamenco ones.

Ay Vidala- Evolved Revolved - Gonza "

It was a long time since I wrote songs in Spanish that I would like. At least this one is experimental , kind of ambient and the poetry its some sort of blend of traditional poetry with modern styles. Same with instruments and music. I used charango (an instrument from the Andes, indie folk tunes, maracas with keyboard synths and even a door bell moved with the wind besides Spanish and electric guitars. Vidala, Baguala, Cielito, Chamarra are tradicional folk styles commonly found in south America. In this poetry they are a metaphor (different people, situations, etc). Its about the flow of life with the unexpected always lurking and ready to come in the blink of an eye. However, no fear of those events and one day, when facing them, hope to say or know the why…

ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Ay Vidala How much I loved you (The tablecloth lighted on The morning in flames)Ay Baguala You give me the pauses (I bought you a can metal brass, Tea and porcelains)Ay Cielito How abandoned were you (I found you while you were drinking From fountains without water)Ay chamarra Because of all that And more than weights (or money) (I enclose your calm in myself)Ay my death scythe Always blossoming, always without wings (Just Hope one day I can tell you why…)

Funky Mr. Welles - Evolved Revolved - Gonza"

I had fun jamming with myself in this sort of Psychedelic Funky jazzy song. It is some sort of Tribute to Orson Welles, especially to the big questions he addressed in arts with some of his historic films. There are references to touch of evil, citizen kane (rosebud...). As in the film is about the fact we choose how to live our lives up to a certain point... parallel lives for us, simple twists of fate...can always happen or be dreamt. This dialectic issue by which we decide our lives many times are related to the good-evil relative perception for us, our close ones, community. The music its a strange funky one, kinda psychedelic funk...I reccommend to read the lyrics as the intention when singing is that the voice should become part of the music itself (like Damo Suzuki brilliantly did in Can). The improvisations sometimes look like some strange Grateful dead or Velvet passages. I tried to play the slide guitar following this rabid pattern found in some beefheart and cooder stuff. There are also indian percussion instruments added to the funky rhythm. I know its kinda noisy but quite rich in sounds and you can also dance with these deep issues if you want...In summary, just fun and some deep thoughts as well...

FUNKY MR. WELLES - LyricsRosebud (Again, again, again…)Came to you (my thouch of evil) Trapped in some sort of Macbeth The battle of the worlds Within an enchantez Malpertuis (The unknown face of Nostradamus)Rosebud (Again, again, again…)came to you my Rosebud My Rosebud…

Romantic road movie to the unknown - Evolved Revolved - Gonza"

This is really a poetry with sounds, like a symphonic poem. The poetry is not sang here at variance with other compositions. It applies many physics concepts to emotions and you can place yourself laid on the ground in a starry night watching and thinking those issues that touch your heart, from love to curiosity, with your soul fellow. I placed the english version to follow it. It acquires much better taste following the text as it is quite minimalist and experimental. The music is simple and basically many guitar layers in harmonic scales that repeat and change at the same time. Synths, and native instruments like bombo and quena played in conventional and free jazz style. Its like hypnotic and for sure demands attention for listening. I will say its the leaat easy listening stuff I composed so far as it is poetry with melodies and sounds accompanying it.

ROMANTIC ROAD MOVIE TO THE UNKNOWNPriceless, Priceless, Priceless, I stumble upon your Heart (Priceless) Walking around the seven yards That inhabit your fluids Inhabit the ways of going (and) the ways of feelingJust sit here dear, And watch the dark black sky Watch the stars saying hi Isn’t it amusing? Can you hear them? Can you hear them calling?Dust of stars we are (E=mc2) A legion, a legion Of atoms and molecules That’s what we are… Don’t ever forget (darling) Don’t ever forget that… Even in your darkness, Your darkest nights Yeah, during the nights The nights, the nights, the nightsWell, just sit there And take this train Lets be part of a road movie to the unknown And feel the breeze The cold water during nights The crickets arriving With the secret knowledge of evolution (Lurking around us)Isn’t it nice darling? The sensation of being part Of this dust, this eternal dust of the stars Be part…of the night The night, the night, the night Yes, the night. the night, the nightDuring all these black nights When only the full moon shines upon us It seems to me that The Photons (arriving from your face) Can tell me the secrets of unknown hearts And the emotions, the labyrinths of the souls The past, the path The path of the nights…You are like my planet, my satellite, my star, my electron… Uncertainty…uncertainty…the void…and the whole And the night, the night, the night Yes darling the night, the nightWell my planet, Can you take me to the outer orbit? Can you defy with me the law of gravity? Will we be put together or apart A legion, a legion of E=h v Yeah, the photons of your face Are still arriving And there on the waves of your smile I think I can travel And be with you again Dust of the stars in the night The dark night, with the stars in the nightJust sit here and listen the waves The waves of love The waves of nature The waves of lifeThe waves of life Darling…in a road movie...to the unknown Bye darling …

Knots of Love - Of Simplicity and Dimensions - 2007 - Gonza"

Knots of Love

[One (Portuguese, chorus, rhythm)]Flat, convex, dressed in solid angles Such were the shapes of your armor Glassy, bluish, fading-in our cup of tea[Two (Portuguese, chorus, rhythm)]Logarithmic, serial, complex Those were the minutes spent with you Over that distance when you colored my face(Perhaps in the slow movement of an integer number I will count those old curtains pulling up and down and down)[Three (Portuguese, chorus, rhythm)]Mugs in the morning embracing fully your legs While you walked away on those second hand shoes You bought at a garage sale[Four (Portuguese, chorus, rhythm)]For the chronic time stepping our distances Was so deep and wide Yet so metallic, so sweet as well(Perhaps in the slow movement of an integer number I will count those old curtains pulling up and down and down)[Five (Portuguese, chorus, rhythm)]In a convergent symbol I await Brain open, eyes shut A liquid dream of images pouring out my mind[Six (Portuguese, chorus, rhythm)]The itchy sound of your cup getting cold Told me once to embrace your secrets, your lies, your truth[Seven (Portuguese, chorus, rhythm)]To hold on to your undetermined solution Of that three order equation never written, never thought.............[Silence, time passes]......................(The rest were concentric skies, lines, more angles and odds…) And yes… that feasible presence Staring us, Always, always, always …. Eight, nine, Ten, Eleven…(loops) (Portuguese counts up to 22) The knots of love… LYRICS This composition has to deal with the evolution of feelings towards people (also things in general). The slide show tries to represent that with visual arts. Ambivalence of feelings in the long run, disrupting the initially somehow continuous flow of emotions such as inlove romantic phases, making it appear as Knots of Love as time goes on. It is about changes, about the impossibility of experimenting always upward feelings with everything in the long run, because inevitably we are always subject to different inner and external forces and pressures, modifying this continuous flow, hence, creating these “Knots”. Up to each one of us is the decision about how to deal with that, separating good and bad moments to make a balance and reach a conclusion about relationships in general. Sometimes those knots are quite strong and feelings between involved parts become like ”topologically intertwined” forever, in some other cases they get weaker with time until disappearing…Couples and relationships that finish, divorces, etc…So this is a poetry about that issue expressed with new language, many math and topological concepts because it deals with knots between “souls”. The poetry happens actually in two parallel actions at the same time, one is just numbering the time, the knots….The other are the feelings expressed while time is flowing, knots are being made. Numbers are said in Portuguese because I like the sound like um from number one and because I wanted to give it a more universal and theatrical sensation besides some tragicomic characteristic. Singing is also somehow dualistic as it can express the feelings of either part of one couple. I also tried to give it two additional things, rhythmic chorus fading-out in each paragraph and as I said a theatrical voice for the time going on. You can read the lyrics clicking in the song. I might post later a lyrical translation to Spanish of this song as well, operating in reverse in this case. MUSIC The music is simple in its melody and chords but except for a momentary lapse doesn’t stop. It is some sort of Pop-Folk-Rock with indie and minimalist issues added. The Pop-Folk-Rock pattern is followed by guitar and singing but it makes it more beautiful (at least to me), the other additions that are symbolic and innovative in that sense. The minimalist pattern was synth by me and are frequencies related to the melodies that have subtle variations. Is like our default continuous flow of time and issues, our daily life and emotions in basal level, probably calm, facing the challenge of routine as years go by. To this, I added a guitar in indie style, playing baritone distorted chords on the other channel. I intentionally tuned the guitar not exactly like the main one so notes sometimes can be dissonant and many other times not. Those are the plus and low algid points, the knots operating over the basal synth level. Well, I hope you like it. This is part of a bilingual poetry book I made called “Of simplicity and Dimensions”. The CD Im preparing now also has that title, as many songs are poetries with music I composed for them, extracted from there. This poetry is related to an essay I wrote about the neurocognitive biophysics aspects of emotions.

ART CONCEPTION MIXING ARTS AND SCIENCES: GONZAWell, for anyone interested in reading this, I doubted quite a lot since one year ago if to start a my space site, as some personal friends asked me and told me about. I finally did it by late March 2007, April 2007. I had the preconception that it was for egomaniacs, ambitious success runners, depressed, frustrated or lonely people. Though the later might be true in some cases, I saw the positive side of this new era we are living now and have a site like this: TO COMMUNICATE WITH ANYONE AROUND THE GLOBE HAVING SIMILAR INTERESTS, SHAREYou watch the news 1 pico-second and you might say, crazy stupid, you nuts!!! However, the world only will become but we want it to become, if we follow this without being pretentious, grain after grain, day after day...good feelings, self-criticism, not pushy, TRUST EACH OTHER, in spite of cultural, ethnic, whatever reasons. And if instead of a flower in our relationships with others we get a spine, it will just make our skin thicker for the next one and move on. This is an UTOPY, like the search of TRUTH, but is the friends we get along the road, Pancho, what makes our biological travel special...Best regards for all of you and feel free to enter this cyber-home whenever you want...As some would say " My house is your house" he he "Im a dreamer, but Im not the only one" Lennon

Sounds Like: A chameleon, can be a furious rocker or an hypnotic technoacoustic. Usually I play alone in my recording studio looking at the bay at sunset from an elevated, high, apartment. The view of the sea, sunset and breeze is quite nice and inspirational. On ocassions, pieces are recorded in tape recorders in deserted and beautiful outdoors. I started all this 28 years ago but it was there, sleeping.....
