I was born near the Iwakuni U.S. base, which is close to Hiroshima City. I grew up under the influence of my parents who loved listening to Western music. I started playing the piano, spontaneously, when I was 5 years old ! Then at the age of 6 I discovered Heavy Metal music, and it was not an odd ‘shock’ for me. My uninfluenced young brain was mesmerized by it ! This was the beginning of my lifelong pleasure, listening to Hard Rock/Heavy Metal (HR/HM) Music. However, at school when I asked the (ignorant !!) Music Teacher about HR/HM I was made to feel foolish? Luckily this didn’t destroy my passion for the world of HR/HM and I pursued it further. I started listening to Frank Zappa's music at the age of 10. It was difficult music for me to understand, back in those days, however I felt Zappa was the teacher of the heart. Some day I dreamed and wished I could enjoy and understand his music more. My first band was formed at the age of 12. I discovered the music of King Crimson and became aware of Progressive rock. Next I discovered Gentle Giant and felt the pleasure of strange rhythm. I began playing the guitar at the age of 18. From then on, I played in many bands totaling over 500 Live performances. As you can see, from my early introduction to HR/HM, my true passion in life was to play the guitar ! After Frank Zappa's death, I was inspired to study guitar even more. Now I am the lead guitarist of the band ONE BIG RUSH. The band performance is purely for the pleasure of playing and seeing the audience feel the pleasure too. The music we play is suites/pieces often exceeding 10 minutes with sheer intensity and improvisation…… the backbone is proof of this !!! ( I think the phrase “Going Hell for Leather†best describes how we feel, as after our bodies feel it too !!!)

I am the guitarist in an Instrumental Rock Band Trio named ONE BIG RUSH. The features of ONE BIG RUSH include ... Heavy sound, Strange Rhythms, Sheer Intensity (both physically and mentally), Suites, Improvisations, and Straight Music. All band members use a wide variety of electronic enhancements to get the most from our instruments. We compose music for TV and Radio themes and also for the Entrance Themes for competitors at Cycle Racing and Kick Boxing events.
